1. I think Miami is the coolest track the band have ever done.

In concert Miami into Bullet was one of the bands greatest ever segues.

Bono's PopMart character with the bowler hat and the umbrella was a more interesting, intimidating and cool character than both McPhisto and Mirrorball Man together.

Hell yeah it's one of the best segues. E.g. the Rotterdam show with Singing in the Rain -> Miami -> Bullet.
  3. I would probably say the opposite with Miami, it’s one of the least cool tracks they’ve done because it’s trying too hard to be cool. The cool u2 songs are mainly found on Achtung baby for me where it all just seemed so much more naturally cool nothing forced.
  4. I do like Pop. But Miami is the weakest track on Pop
  5. To me it's Playboy Mansion but still nice track and better than almost all songs on the following two albums... (now that would be an unpopular opinion )

Yes, that must be a unpopulair opinion...but that's the purpose of this topic

PS: I think Gone 2002 mix is better than the original...

I think only Please (and maybe IGWSHA) improved a lot from album version... rest is just cosmetic or worse change. And sometimes I like first half of Discotheque new mix (maybe just first part before it kicks in - because it's similar to live version)
  8. Walk On is the best closer they've done.
  9. Not sure if this is one, but Wire has no place on Unforgettable Fire and Love Comes Tumbling or one of those other b-sides like White City (later turned into Disappearing Act) or Yoshino Blossom would've fit better. I skip it almost every time I listen to that album because it totally takes me out of the vibe that the rest of that album provides.

That being said, it's a killer live track on UF bootlegs that have it.

I think almost all of the so-called [New Mixes] are better than their Pop-album brothers.
