  5. So I was just looking at Noel Gallagher's tour dates, and he is playing in Japan and South Korea in the middle of May. So MAYBE the snafu is that IF he is the opening act, they don't want to announce the tour until AFTER his dates there? Perhaps I'm reaching a bit, but maybe that's a thing?

    Doubt it. He's announcing a new album I read so this new support act tour is in support of his new album.
