  2. Thats correct although I think if what I’ve seen online is correct there’s another couple of stadiums in Sydney they could chose from with decent capacities. Just had another look and it appears one of the other options is also being renovated, the Olympic stadium but Sydney cricket ground appears to be an option.

    Im not sure the SCG would be an option it doesn't really host concerts and would be getting ready for the cricket season in November. Queen is playing the olympic stadium so surely u2 would be there again.

  7. I would have thought ANZ Stadium also (ie. the olympic stadium at homebush). It’s post Rugby League season and Queen is there in Feb.
  8. Ed Sheeran only played there once. And he is the most popular act in the world at the moment.

    Doubt U2 would be able to fill it twice.

  10. Almost a certainty to be ANZ Stadium. Allianz is in the process of being demolished and the SCG won't take it as the ground is being used extensively this winter by four different football codes, so they'll need plenty of time for it to recover ahead of the cricket. Outside chance is the new (BankWest) Stadium at Parramatta. With a 30,000 capacity in sport mode, I'd think it too small but getting U2 for their first gig would be a coup.

    I want to make the Melbourne shows but these dates would overlap with a long-planned family weekend away. Going to be some difficult negotiations if you're right!
