The pre-sale dates were set and it was shown on the leaked Ticketmaster page all the ticket sale information.

Yeah but they said the announcement would be today,tomorrow which now seems unlikely.

That would have nothing to do with I'm sure Live Nation knew about the election months ago maybe the sources aren't as reliable as some thought.

They maybe knew about the elections but didn’t expect a shock result which inevitably makes more headlines and grabs more people’s attention. However it seems like there’s also the suggestion about Asian dates still to be finalised, who knows.

As Asia is not Ticketmaster, it's probably complicating the presales. Not all concerts can be bought on foreign credit cards, so organising that adds another layer of complexity

But obviously, the pre-sale dates were THIS week. So it would make sense that the announcement would have been around now or a few hours ago. A last-minute postponement due to uncertainty around the Asian dates makes sense. But there could be other factors.

Likely just a delay - they seem to have been having some logistics issues setting this one up. If we get any information we will pass it along.

I thought they'd at least go ahead with NZ/Oz dates. So maybe there are other issues, not just Asia. Or maybe the promotional material for NZ/Oz also included the Asian dates.
