U2 management losing their grip with the fan base.
Losing grip? Their hands flew off the handle long ago.
  2. I really like my Sirius XM.
I have it because I drive far to work each day and have time in the car to listen to these so many choices. I loved having the temporary U2 channel this past summer and really happy they are getting their own channel.Likely they will have clips of the guys talking about their favorite music or various songs etc. Good play lists and really cool that it's THEIR channel.
I am happy about it. The nice thing about this XM is there are comedy channels, politricks channels, bluegrass rock broadway doctor kidstuff etc.....never get bored and I think there i less road rage for me!

There’s a lot I like about XM, and it gets me to listen to things I normally may not ever hear. Most of the time on Apple Music I just listen to the bands/albums I already know I like.

Do you guys think this station will actually have interest content, or will it just be the same U2 songs I can listen to anytime I want in other ways? FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS!!!

Ps- those Japanese fans were probably wondering WTF was going on lol
  3. Okay, a legitimate question among all of the noise. If the U2 station is anything like Pearl Jam, I think it will be good. I personally won't be getting it because there isn't much else on the programming there to draw me to pay $15 a month - that and single income, 2 kids, and a stay-at-home mom, every penny counts If you are able to swing it, I would say take the plunge for a 6 month trial and give it a go. You never know right? Again, looking at the PJ model, it could be cool.

    What's special about PJ's?

They play a different live version of Even Flow at least two to three times every hour....
  4. To the pacifists and sympathisers u can defend this all u like ... after all that good work touring these parts drumming up interest in the brand that is U2 thanks to this shitshow of and announcement or publicity stunt they are once again the laughing stock of at least my social network which is large and varied in ages ! It won’t surpass the ITunes bungle but it’s not far from it !!!

Sounds like you should take it up with Sirius not U2. They’re a laughing stock for getting their own radio station? Did people get angry and Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty too?

    100% correct.

I think the main gripe people are having is the way they went about announcing it and making it seem a whole lot bigger than it actually is.

Pacifists?? They could have announced it better, but who cares. It is awesome that they will have their own station. It's long overdue. Now they should post shows on nugs
  8. There are too many ‘apologists’ in this forum for the band ! Can you not see that ‘again’ it was a shit case of ‘PR’ and ‘again’ they are ripping their hardcore fan base by making you charge another subscription, they can do no wrong in some eyes can they !

Far be it for the ‘twitter verse’ to be the guide or current mood for society but head over there and read tweets from hardcore fans to part timers the majority expressing that this was a shambles !!

You know that U2 isn't touring to "drum up interest in the brand", right? They're touring to play to audiences they haven't played to in a while (or ever) - who have really been enjoying the shows they've been able to see. This is something that a lot of U2Start members seem to forget, whether it's in conversations like this, or about setlists, or whatever. U2 doesn't owe you jack shit, whether that be a new album, a setlist change, or whatever you might've been expecting of this announcement. Be thankful that these guys are even still out there breaking their backs to play for their fans...

Get out of your bubble and realize that U2 don't exist to please you, or the people in your social network.

EDIT: Sorry Remy, just saw your post.
