    I mean people can afford what they can afford. If they want to subscribe and get a physical release they can do that or they can chose to watch it on YouTube for free eventually. Just like when they released I&E in different formats some people can’t afford the super deluxe set so they get the blu Ray, some people can’t afford blu Ray so they get dvd, some people can’t afford dvd so they watch for free on YouTube. There’s no difference here if they don’t release it commercially it’s just you skip from the physical release to watching it on YouTube. Btw it won’t just be poor people that won’t have the physical item, plenty of people who can afford it like yourself won’t because they don’t think it’s worth it therefore you can see the show on YouTube. Nobody is being denied the possibility to watch the show. You say all fans have the right to go to a store and buy there favourite bands show, this is inaccurate in more ways than one. A release of a show is an add on, it’s not an essential release. Maybe to some of us it’s equally important it better even than the albums but the albums are really the main releases. Most bands don’t release a dvd/blu Ray of every tour. We’re fans of a band that have for a while but that doesn’t mean they should be obligated to release a concert dvd commercially after every tour. I suspect this conversation will be a pointless one anyway when they go on to release it commercially I just hope it doesn’t get a physical release above dvd quality, digital is fine I wouldn’t buy that anyway but a physical release in a better format is a kick in the teeth.

  3. Yes. Or you will probably be able to download it for free somewhere on the internet or get a pirate copy. Not promoting piracy here but just stating a reality of what people can and will do when they can’t afford something. I couldn’t afford the Achtung Baby Uber deluxe set but I’ve got the ‘baby’ versions of the album. Should I feel hard done to because I don’t have the physical item? Well I don’t.

    I understand you, but my disappointment is with the band that should have imagined that all the fans really wanted to have this show in their collections.

    And for me, the concert of a tour is so important as the album of the tour. "Live is where U2 lives - by U2start."

    We love their music and a lot of people didn't get to go to concerts for EI didn't come to my country for example, and they would love to have the show in their collections. Payning the real value.

    And I mentioned it before ... I don't believe that if Paul Macguinnes were still the manager, they would launch a show so much awaited by fans in this way.
  6. I'm quiet happy with the release, i renew every year anyway, if they do release a BluRay or box set in the near future i will purchase that as well, for now this DvD will be ripped for its audio, so im looking forward to that.
  7. An alternative would have been to do what they did with Zoo-TV and Go Home, i.e. give us an mp3 audio of the show even though it was being released in a visual format. That would make it more portable and avoid upsetting those who don't have a dvd player or look down on it as an inferior format.
