Yeah, that was a text message, but that message was in the news for a week. Nothing new here. Only people seem to be stupid and ignore all the warnings. I don't think this message changes anything. A lockdown will also be ignored. For example: In Belgium there is already a lockdown. This is ignored by many dutch people only to save a little money, because fuel in Belgium is cheaper than in Holland.
I still don't think a full lock-down will happen here. There is a chance though that more shops/barbers will be closed and being outside in groups will be forbidden.

This is literally a situation of "people have the power" and making sure everybody understands that. I'm heading out the door now for "Project Groceries" in Amsterdam now, we'll see how much has changed today..
  2. Next week in the UK there will probably be stricter measures. Quite a lot of people seem to be ignoring advice.
  3. Our prime minister in Greece just announced that any random transportation is prohibited and there's a fine of 150 euros. If you need to go to work, to the pharmacy or to a super market you need to get some sort of affirmation via a specific internet site or via text message. You need to carry your ID at all times and if a policeman stops you, you need to show proof that you're doing one of the 'allowed' actions listed above. I'm a university student and tomorrow we have our first Skype lectures! Stay safe everyone. These actions may seem harsh, but look at Italy's tragedy. It's really so sad.
  4. I shouldn’t be surprised really but just watching the news here in scotland and some pubs have decided to stay open until they are legally forced to shut. Wasting police officers time as they will have to go round and order them to close for 24 hours then if they open after 24 hours the police need to go round again and force them to shut, an absolute disgrace not only the people running the pubs doing this but the people giving them custom.
  5. Our "moon shot" that Bono referred to in the Vertigo Tour was just staying at home and we even fucked that up.

  6. Stay safe.

  8. New Zealand has just announced a complete lockdown, everyone to isolate for 4 weeks. No deaths here yet, touch wood. Hopefully this will minimise things
