I can't answer about the visuals and I have zero intention of watching it. I just wanted the DVD to rip the lossless PCM audio and replace the rip of the audio from the stream. There is no way it looks better than the stream and I don't even own a DVD player aside from my PC disc drive which is not hooked up to my big TV.
