Usual drill. You have until this Sunday (11th) to get hold of the show and let us know you plan to review it. Then you'll have until the 18th to post a review.

Please review either the new links provided by Casper or the original links on the bootleg page (say which in your review) and also that you have the show before saying you'll post.

Who else is in for Portland?

Updated. Please note section about which source you are reviewing. I forgot to mention before that either source is fine; just make it clear which (or both if you like).
  5. Have listened to this show for many times and because the Sunday started here 1 hour and 36 minutes ago, I thought it was time to post my review. So here it is....

    2001-04-15 - Portland, Oregon - Rose Garden

Source: My own remaster, which links are posted here in this topic.

Sound: Not really feeling comfortable tp judge my own work. Let's say the taper did an awesome job and whether you listen to the unremasterd FLAC-version, the unremastered MP-3 version from the bootleg-section here or the remasterd FLAC-version (converted to MP3 and uploaded here), they all sound great. It's definately a 4-star audience! All four members are there, loud and clear. The only negative point is the audience, which sound sometimes sounds distorted. Nothing big though...

    Performance
Great to me...I love Elevation, whether it is a pre-9-11 show or not. This Portland gig really kicks some ass. I love the snippets, love the energy and commitment of the band this very night. I've been listening to it for 5 times or so and the show has been growing on me. Also a great emotional show because Johnny Ramone died that very day.

    Highlights:
    - Discotheque: I love this song and the Elevation-versions miss the 'boom-cha' but they're quite good nonetheless. Awesome Staring at the Sun snippet afterwards.
    - Sunday Bloody Sunday: Actually a normal Elevation-version, bu the Bob Marley snippet of 'I Could Be Loved' makes it a cracker. And the other Marley-snippet, the one they usually used (Get Up Stand Up) is very good too. Makes it a sort of Bob Marley vs. U2 song for me.
    - The Sweetest Thing: I love the live-version of this cute song. Always makes me feel happy, gives me an 'I don't care'-feeling. Push away your sorrows and problems...The Sweetest Thing is there. Lovely performance!
    - In A Little While: Always good...the high part is very well sung by Bono.
    - The Ground Beneath Her Feet: A very good song and this performance isn't that stunning, but I just love it being played live.
    - Streets: Great rendition, full of energy. The Elevation kind of Streets was way better compared with Vertigo.
    - The Fly: Awesome intro, powerful performance..
    - One: Great performance, awesome snippet of Amazing Grace. Just love it..Too bad though to see Bono messing with the lyrics there. He should have known better, but we're all human, aren't we?

Overall: Great setlist with some great performances. A good show and a great choice from Jeremy. He's been there, and I'm jealous. Haha!

    Rating: 8.5/10

Oh crap. I dunno which one's which I think I used the links on your post on this forum. Is that Casper's version?
  7. I didn't read MWSAH's review, and it's still Saturday here in the States. I'm in, I hope. What are the rules for time? I've downloaded the show already too.

You've got a week now to post a review and then discuss the gig as much as you like.

    Welcome on board, added

Thanks mate... I've got 6 different ways to listen to it (various speakers and headphones). I heard it last night, and a lot of you will be surprised about something in my review...
