Yeah! The road to the top of it is in my backstreet!
  7. SWEET HOME CHICAGO You've all probably seen this great city from the movies (Blues Brothers, Faris Bueller's Day Off, etc).

Sears Tower...tallest building in USA and a mile from where I work.

    Chicago Theatre

My beloved Chicago Cubs' ballpark : Wrigley Field. Built in 1914, 2nd oldest ballpark other than Fenway in Boston.

    Famous marque

  8. Here are some pictures of my hometown Boxtel in the Netherlands. It's nothing special IMO, but some of you might never seen such a tiny european village...

This is the Zoo Station of Boxtel:

    This is our fire-departement (?)

This is a lake where a lot of people from Boxtel go swim if it's warm enough. It's a very popular spot

This is in front of the building where the politics happen in Boxtel. It's in the middle of Boxtel, next to a lot of stores, snackbars and discotheques

A real castle in Boxtel! It's called 'Stapelen' and it lies in the middle of a forest. It's near my school

And the last one is not a picture; it's a little movie. It's was made at my school, during a strike by the students. It's not very clear, but you can see how my school looks. I don't know who made the vid, but the strike was against the politicans in The Hague, who want to let students go longer to school; 1040 hours every year.

    I hope you liked it
  9. Seems a cool place Mark, it's in Brabant, isn't it?

Yep, it's in the middle of Den Bosch and Eindhoven. It's a nice quiet town with a lot of cool people (including me ). It has two soccer teams (VV Boxtel and O.D.C., the last one is my club), 3 tennisclubs, 2 hockeyclubs, a bunch of restaurants and a lot of bars (De Bips, Becolot, Cafe De Kerk, Cafe Verroest, Cafe De Ommekeer, and a lot more) It is really nice.

    Where do you come from?

Spakenburg...that little village above Amersfoort. Highly cultured, a bit like Volendam and Katwijk. Population of 20.000, 3 soccer-clubs (IJsselmeervogels, Spakenburg and Eemdijk, must have heard of the local derby here, always attented by 8500 people). Further on 3 harbors, a tiny beach and recreation place, a lot of bars and cafes, several restaurants, a handball club, a basketball club, a darts club, turning club, tennis club, judo and kickbox facilities, fitness-centra etc. A very active community!

I once saw a documentary of the match IJselmeervogels - Spakenburg! It's the toughest amature derby of Holland! They play in the same competition isn't it? And both as title candidates, I believe. Spakenburg looked like a nice village in the documentary. Must be a nice place to live! There is a lot to do, I see. Very nice
