Stay - Streets/ GOOYW/ Summer of Love?? How would that sound?
    No, remove Streets.

Stay - Bad - Summer Of Love - Red Flag Day

    Wait, I have an idea...

...what if, hear me out, what IF... they play Streets? huh!?

    ok, no, fine...

(but what about With or Without You? it'd work, right?

    or Streets, maybe...?)

I quite like it when they play "Streets", by the way. I'd be OK with them playing it on this tour.
  5. It’s U2 we are talking about. They’ll just bring the exact same setlist to Europe. Wouldn’t even be surprised if they bring American Soul with the American flag. But that they probably change

I hope they bring the song though, it’s so good live.

    - Lights of Home needs to move out of that spot, too slow to be the second official song of the show with the band. I would put IWF there.

    - They need to make a change in the 3 song rotation of Acrobat and Staring at the sun, those 3 songs in that order I feel lag the show a bit.

    - I would drop American Soul in favour of Streets or another hit.

    - The encore needs some life.

I think they should push lights of home back a spot and put discotheque, breathe or real thing there
  7. When you listen to the gig though you have The blackout, followed by “I shouldn’t be here cause I should be dead”. Makes sense to have it in that spot
  8. I think Winter Beats is a good intro song. Just watched this. The excitement when they see the band going to the stage... I love it. Roll on Berlin

They made some adjustments in i+e to make it more european (including Zooropa, removing Hands, Beethoven's snippet...).

I'd guess Summer of Love will have a chance to be played in there, since the topic is more european than american.
American Soul seems like a big part of the show, so I don't think it's in danger.

It sure does. And it's such a great song, whether you like this version or not.

Listening to the SJ2 bootleg, I think the show flows pretty damn well. And I am beyond thrilled that they are playing NINE songs off their latest album.

We can argue if there are better or worse songs choices (Little Things is maybe the best of SOE, but it looks complex to find a spot for it on such a tight setlist), but this is the U2 I fell in love with in the first place: forward-looking, confident in their new stuff, willing to stick to their guns.

I've warmed up to the opening of the show, which I didn't find exciting at first, and I missed the People Have The Power notes and the Miracle's woowoowooooooh's in i+e, but now I'm starting to get that feeling with the "Breathe in, breathe in, exhale, thank you" and the contained opening ala Shine On You Crazy Diamond.

    100% agree with you.

Also, Little Things is my favorite and probably the best song they've had since Bad, to me.
But I don't need it live this time. 2 reasons:
    a) we already have some live recordings of it, and
    b) I have a feeling that the only spot it could fit thematically and emotionally, it would be replacing... Acrobat. I'll take Acrobat for now.
