  2. Hoping they play this
  3. I've seen the show 4 times now so I think its a good time to give my judgement. Those first 9 songs before intermission are bloody amazing, and is the best bit of U2 you'll probably ever see. Stay and Wild Horses are personal standouts. After the intermission you get the "Happy meal" section, Elevation, Vertigo and EBTTRT. This may look a bit naff on the setlist, but in person its great. Gets the arena rocking. The "Im fucking Bono" speech is awesome as well.

However after this section the show doesn't really recover. Although I like every single song they play after the "Happy meal" section, it all just seems a bit flat. Especially with the newer songs, both London shows Bono tried to get the sing along going for GOOYOW and the crowd didn't quite catch on. Love is Bigger last night too fell really flat.

13 gets a lot of stick as well for being the closer, but its bloody wonderful. Thats just my view though, Manchester 1 we were speaking to some casuals and they said "Can't believe they ended the show like that". My Mum (casual) thought it was pretty boring too. But the U2 fans I went with loved it.

Overall it is a bloody good show. Im seriously thinking about doing Berlin now. Its my favourite tour (albeit I've only seen 3, innocence, JT and Experience). This isn't a tour for casuals, that was the JT last year. And thats probably why the crowd fell a bit flat at times. I've heard songs on this tour I thought I would never hear in my lifetime. My Uncle (who's done every tour since '87) only does one show per tour. However he thought London 1 was so good, he came again with me last night. He said it's the best show he's seen.
  4. I hate how it gets described as the Happy meal section. Sounds shit
  5. Happy meal section, I love it.. maybe "obligatory cas-fan set" instead. But those three get the venues jumping. I will say though it's absolutely incredible to see six AB songs played, plus Stay. But still no love for NLOTH

EDIT: No love for JT either, how could I forget that album. Not surprised tho after JT2017
  6. Elevation and Vertigo get the crowd jumping, though I could personally do without them. Just heard them so often. But Even better is fucking brilliant on this tour. It's the grooviest version I think they've ever played of that song. It's a lot of fun live. Acrobat is awesome due to the speech and MacPhisto style. But as a song in itself it's mid tempo, which is why the band never played it before... Best Thing and Summer of love are not really good live choiced unfortunately. I think the set could do without the latter. Best Thing is for Ali so it won't be dropped. Landlady could do the same job though...
  7. Happy Meal section... now thats funny!

I loved both Acrobat and SOL to bits! Sang every line, and so were most of the people around me... SOL is just beautiful. Acrobat is mid tempo, yes, but it rocks!
  9. Had the realization that with this new setlist there are no songs from their previous two records (no songs from SOI or NLOTH)... can think of a few examples of shows that featured no songs from their previous album (Popmart having no Zooropa songs, most SOI shows having no NLOTH songs), but what was the last tour to have a default setlist with no songs from their previous TWO albums? Has there been one?

EDIT: answer may be Popmart with no songs from Zooropa or Passengers (if you count Passengers as a U2 album)...beyond that I'm stumped
