  1. Yes, that’s what I was meaning. There should be other reasons for the delay.
  2. I still don't understand why a tour like this even needs sponsorship. They're one of the biggest bands on the planet. And it's not like they're playing the sales force crowd every show where someone might have a connection to a business that could think about using their product. Most of the crowd will be Australians who are probably partial to drinking beers out of shoes

    I think that music business has changed in the last 15 years and that nowadays every band, also the big ones, needs a sponsorship to cover some costs. Especially if you are doing a big expensive show with a lot of media stuff and effects like U2 do.

The JT prodoction is simply too big for a relatively short tour with expensive logistics travelling from NZ, to and through Australia, into the Monsoon period of Singapore and winter time in Japan and South Korea. Totally different from America or Europe where they just have a hundred trucks on the road. It would be much wiser for U2 to do a kind of stripped down tour. They used a kick-ass LED screen at th iHeart show back in 2016. Makes it all much easier. I mean, If Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer can do it, why can't U2.

  12. My talking dog said bono is not happy with the winner of the Australian election and has delayed the tour because of the PM just like they did with trump
