1. still no 2 year warranty though.
  2. Maybe this is the time to (finally) buy an iPod. Anyway, I don't like very much Apple and his methods.
  3. As long as you can listen to music and have enough free space to put all of U2 on it..it's great.

    Even if doesn't quite work
    You've been all over
And your iPod bummed out on you
    It's a pretty shithouse day...
    You're out of warranty
    Shithouse day

You can touch, touch the new iPod Touch
Take your fingers to another menu
Teach me, I know I'm wasting cash

See the menus in black and white
See Apple right in front of you
See the menus on your LCD screen
See the tune of profit clearing the cash register
    See Apple.com at night
You'll be safe with U2 playing Lovetown through your earplugs
After the warranty ran out, you're really jacked off...

    lol!!

Although I've never personally had a problem with my iPods (he says, hating himself for tempting fate!!)
  5. I've just had a closer look on the Apple website and I'm not so sure the iPod Classic is ugly. It's anodised aluminium like the older Nano and thinner. Now in silver rather than white (obviously following on from the iMac - white is obviously out at Apple). I like it.

Have no need for one as my 60GB is doing just fine.

    But I like it

And the iPod touch - OMG. But am I the only one who thinks it's basically the iPhone without the phone?

As for the Nano; well, it's like taking Angelina Jolie then smacking her with a shovel several times.......

man your right on the ball there. And the 16GB costs the same as the 160GB classic. it doesnt add up for me
  7. I also notice that the iPod touch can wirelessly download from iTunes straight to the player, but they left this functionality off the American iPhone. Wonder if that'll change when they come over here? They've already scrapped the basic model and dropped the price by $200.

they've certaibly played a strange hand. Give the iphone wireless downloads and the ipod touch will become obsolete. It looks the same as the phone (which can do more) and the ipod classic kicks its ass in the musical department. the touch will sell on looks alone though. Its just a gimmick to me

  9. That's a good reason NOT to open your iPhones to change the battery. Not even my iPod got like that when I opened it - although the battery was awfully hot for not doing anything.

But it wasn't easy to get it off - I think I scratched the side to buggery and actually dented it. Oops.
