You know the little logic board part screwed to the back and that ribbon? It kept coming out and I'd be like "Oh fuck...", so I ended up taping the little shit down. Now I can tell why Apple say to get a new one - hard things to work with, but I ordered out a new 10GB drive, not the 20 but it should get it going again I hope.

What gets me though, is how can a 320GB drive sell for $118 and a 10GB sell for $69? It's not logical!

    it's not logical - it's business
  4. well I went and saw the new ipods in the flesh (no touch instore yet). I was going to buy the classic in the grey colour but was dissapointed a it's look and feel. It's definatley not as classy or awesome looking as any ipod thats came before it but it does everything else just right.

I cannot describe the coolness of the nano. want one badly but can I live with just 8GB? I have 8GB of ZooTV and Vertigo tour alone . . . . . it looks so cool though. I'm gna hold off to see the black version of the classic in the flesh and see if thats any better. My hearts with the nano, my heads with the classic.

Go with the classic. you've got way more bootlegs than me and I have the old 30GB.

The black looks cool. Wait to see it, sure, but order in confidence. It's just like the old one but with all the new cool shit.

Have to say the Nano's growing on me now I've seen it in the flesh, but still not convinced of the need for a video screen in anything that small. Apple must be going for shares in glasses next or something...

    And finally,

I heard a rumour that because Safari is included on the iTouch, it could be converted into using Skype (or equivalent) and therefore be a phone anyway. Can anyone more technically minded than me confirm if this is even technically possible? (I appreciate you'd be restricted by having to be in a Wi-Fi zone)

tou could just not use the video feature and thats problem solved. Video on the nano is just a gimmick though. The iphone looks great but it's the most impractical thing ever. It would be impossible to navigate the menus and stuff with one hand like you can on all other ipods with the click wheel

I reckon so. Skype is a web-based service but depending on how the Touch is set up it may be blocked in the firmware. Still worth trying, that'd be worth a Touch alone, which I'm getting - 16GB is shitloads for me.

costs a shitload to. How tricky is it gna be navigating that thing without the click wheel. Your gonna need both hands. Fairly impracticle
  10. I ordered an iPod touch, it looks amazing
  11. my 80GB ipod clssic is now with me. Currently putting my 300 bootlegs on to it now
  12. Any good?

Eh-hey, check your email...something is waiting for your new iPod. Have fun!
