1. The answer is simple: yes!!!!!!!

This tour is the greatest for me

    WHAT!??!?! Invent??
For me, "inventing" is when you hag a car from the top of the stage, suit yourself a PVC jacket and sing with distorted voice.
For me, "inventing" is NOT repeating the same list, the same movements and the same performance night after night.

Even if i didnät see it live, I miss it. I listen to popmart bootlegs everydaw nowadays. And I have to disagree with you there LikeASong. Yes, the setlist was static and ys, they repeated the same performace night after night. But so did they on Zoo TV. The same moves, pretty much the same songs but both of the tours were great if you ask me. On the Vertigo Tour, Bono gave the pretty much the same One-speech every night. And if you ask me, the setlists, the show, the atmosphere and the feeling around the band was mucg better during popmart during today's polished but still very good U2.

That was a bit long but hey, discussions are nice, no offense to you LikeASong

Of course no offense, we're alright there.

I agree, the setlist, the performance, etc was pretty the same on the Zoo TV, on the Vertigo tours, etc. But in PoPMart there was ANOTHER point: Bono's voice was fucked up night after night. I can remember about 10 concerts with a decent voice, and the rest (80) are pretty crap.

Yes, you've got a point there, you really do. Some songs sound awful with Bono's voice fucked up some songs like Pride, NYD, Streets and so on. On the other hand, Please can get really powerful with Bono's sore voice, so can If You Wear That Velvet Dress, and many others. I prefer the popmart voice over the vertigo voice any day.

Me too. Please is indeed very moving, and the link with Streets is awesome. Even his voice looked better in this link every night.
  8. I for one do not miss Popmart in the same way that I don't miss ZooTV. 'Fuck the past, kiss the future' and see where it takes us (and U2 of course)
  9. yea i was 5 so i missed it .... damn it

So U2 never ever invented something.

    Happy 10th anniversary

With inventing I mean exploring a new way of show.. I agree, the performances looked the same every night... But I meant they were in the time of the 90's..They did something no-one did before.
