1. Yep, it looks great, runs great and shits all over previous Windows versions, even XP (their best until 7 appeared). I just wasn't too keen on the simple fact of having to set up a whole new bunch of configuration and customization features I guess I'm too lazy even in the computer world hahahaa...

Linux can be VERY useful, I swear it. Even if it's just a virtual machine or a boot CD, it can save you lots of pain and grief

And yeah, I disagree about the nwerd stuborness agains Microsoft. Sure they have done a lot of damage to the computer world, but they also have done very good things. And not all their products are bad - Windows 7 is a great example!
  2. True, the latest Ubuntu is a good OS as well. Just doesnt feel as finished as Windows. And its butt ugly.

Weak point of windows is still the lack of a central installation and update system. Maybe the Windows 8 Marketplace will bring some change, but I doubt it will be as good as good old apt-get.
  3. IPhone style mobile site works on Android. Very nice.
  4. Yeah enabled that long time ago. Nobody noticed
  5. Its nice for a quick look at the forum. Although the normal activetopics is quite usable as well
  6. Yea. I find myself jumping to the mobile site when I'm out and about and 3g is sparce.
  7. Exactly, its still fast then
  8. Still using the Desire S. It's good and all but oh so bland. Android is fine but that can be had on any android device, Just not finding anything physically appealing about the Desire. Wi-Fi performance is poor (holding the top of the device can cause it to drop it's connection to wifi), speaker and camera are poor and so is the GPS. Battery life is seemingly excellent though.

Had the N8 out with me today at the cricket and it still has enough in the tank to hang out with these newer models. Caught this snap of a little bird in the back yard. It seems to have lost its nest but it's mother is still around to feed it. Cute little thing.

  9. I hadn't heard about that wifi problem... shocking

  10. Android in itself is usually patchy with wifi but this Desire is just terribly poor at holding a signal. I'm happy enough to still keep both phones.
  11. Hai.

I'm going to buy a new mp3-player. Currently, I'm using an iPod touch third Gen, 8GB.

I want two players, one for studio albums of bands I like and another for unofficial stuff, like bootlegs, remixes and some hits. May sound odd.

The studio-one should be able to store 8GB. I don't care about apps.
The unofficial-thing should be able to store like 16GB, same about apps.

So, which mp3-player would be the best choice? I can't keep using my iPod 'cause it's a bit broken.

    Thanks in advance...
