  1. When you go to renew it will give you the option between the two, you won’t be able to see it yet because as you said you have to wait til 30 days before it runs out but once you are 30 days away then click on the link you’ll have the choice.

The problem with that is that the good gifts like next year’s one/ u22/ from the ground up all sell for well over what they’re worth and the likes of the last two years gifts you can easily get for a decent price so it’s not as simple as you make it sound for those that want next year’s gift and not to have 2 copies of this year’s.

    just to add to that; that doesn't necessarily say something about the quality of the gift, but probably more about the number of gifts that were sent out. In years with ticketsales many extra accounts are created (even sold at ticketmaster) so many fans end up with multiple gifts which they give away for a small price of for free.

    I reckon if we had a poll from fans if they would rather have next year’s gift or the last two years gifts combined they would rather just have next year’s gift, I might be wrong but I’d be surprised.

    maybe yes, maybe not, I really like the 2017 gift and in general prefer vinyl over cd.. but that was not my point.. you were talking about selling prices and I was just saying that it doesn't necessarily say something about the quality of an item..

    I'm skeptical of how much of this will be the Paris shows from 2015 and how much of the e+i will be Berlin. Hopefully they do a good job of not including too many warhorses and go with performances from all over the world not just a few shows.

    I still think people’s preferences have more of an impact on the selling price than how ‘limited’ it is, and in reality there will be an awful lot of u22 and from the ground up out there. As an example compare last years Lights Of Home RSD release to the wide awake in Europe release, both had 5000 copies printed but the latter is much more sought after. I love lights Of home but it’s release was far inferior to wide awake in Europe in terms of material on it, I think the same theory can be used for the subscribers gifts.
