1. Go and check your renewal date, as mentioned earlier it’s probably changed.
  2. And there is the 2020 gift live in Berlin dvd
Wish it was in blu ray. And it’s already in production so should all get it earlier

  3. Hi guys. Will the Berlin DVD be a subscriber's gift? That's it ? Or am I wrong?
  4. Does this mean It won't be released on blu-ray now????
  5. It sounds it maybe they feel releasing two live films in one year is too much. Give the fans this and have a big release for Joshua Tree tour
  6. What the fuck is a DVD

    Spoiler (click to toggle)
Lmao as if that's the gift - U2.com for ya - no way I'm spending 50 bucks to buy a DVD in 2020, guess I'll be pirating this one, U2. (Yes, if it was a blu-ray I'd fork out the cash no problemo)
  7. So no BluRay or 4K release? A 480p DVD release of a show filmed and at least partially aired in 4K already. What the fresh hell is this. While I actually like the idea of the release, putting it out on DVD only is terrible.

And no bonus tracks or anything? I assumed the release would include some like the past release did. At least with Red Flag Day at minimum.

I am disappointed. I had a subscription until 2017, then I didn't renew it anymore because the exchange rate here in Brazil is not good, the dollar is costing R$ 4.19. Which would cost R$ 200.00, and any BluRay here I pay R$ 40.00. Not worth it.
  11. Haha.

Honestly I'm just sort of fed up with U2 asking their fans to fork out cash for stuff I don't deem worth it. It started when I saw the Experience show in 2018 that I considered to be way too similar to the show I'd seen a few years prior, despite the fact that the marketing led me to believe it'd be sort of an "opposite" kind of feel. That was the first time I'd felt U2 swindled me, and it wasn't a nice feeling. I don't want to argue about this aspect, it's my opinion and it won't change - I know people loved the 2018 tour with all of their hearts, more power to them.

I hate being the negative guy, in fact I've fought against it here on U2Start a number of times - but this is just kind of bullshit. Not only did they limit the viewing options for the Berlin airing around Christmas time (I wasn't able to watch it at all where I am) instead of just letting people stream it from their website or something, they're making it the new subscriber gift which costs a minimum of 50 bucks, and it's a DVD? Who the hell buys DVDs anymore?!

    I don't know, just...not for me.
