Nice blog by the way I will check it out every now and then

Will be sure to keep an eye on it mate and see if I can include it I'll probably try to get La Liga involved too if possible, so many big leagues to keep up with! I do fear for the Eredivisie because of the rapid departure of many of the best players, e.g. Schaars, van Wolfswinkel, Dzsudzsák and the rest going abroad. That said, there seems to be a lot of good young players coming through, so fingers crossed the league will pick up again - who can forget PSV's journey to the Champions' League semi-finals in 2005?
  2. That's the big problem here, the Dutch teams cant keep up with teams from the bigger leagues because of the money, so our teams have to scout and train young players for me that's is one of the big advantages of the Dutch league on other leagues. Teams like Ajax and Feyenoord play with 8,9 players who got educated at the club.
Your right about the departure of some of the best players, Suarez, Dzsudzsak and Ruiz were the best player the last 3 years and now that Ruiz might go to Spurs which means that the last of the big players would go away. But the good thing is that the transfers lead to new Dutch players; Suarez was replaced by Ebecillio, Dzsudzsak by Labyad and Ruiz will be replaced by Berghuis. And probably these 3 players will get sold again but high prices.
I only remember that last game of PSV against AC Milan, with Ambrosini who decided it in the last minute 2 years earlier AC Milan did the same agains Ajax, in 2003 Inzaghi scored the winning goal in the 90+1 minute. Also in 2005 AZ was terminated in the semi-final of the Uefa Cup by Sporting and that also happened in the 90+3 minute

Here's hoping they do - it seems the police are gaining the upper hand, so with any luck, things will start to die down. Re. the friendly, half of me is gutted I wouldn't get a match to watch but the other half is glad because a) safety risks were certainly a concern and b) it would mean one less bit of moaning from Premier League managers about their players getting injured on international duty lol.

In other news, I'm starting a blog on Euro football - so far I've managed to get a brief rundown of the Bundesliga opening weekend finished, will be hoping to get a review of the opening day in Ligue 1 down today or tomorrow, some amazing stuff there, especially with PSG going down 1-0 at home to Lorient after a summer of big spending lol. http://europa-football.blogspot.com/ if anyone's interested

Good, i rate the opening day of the league up there with christmas haha, imagine if christmas got postponed

I looked it up for you, Dutch soccer sites say that Spurs need to sell players first, Stoke City want to buy Palacios and Crouch and when they get sold Spurs want to go for Ruiz. Also I read that Spurs aren't really sure about his physical condition because in England they play harder than they do here.

Also Arsenal want him, but they havent talked to Ruiz yet, while Spurs already did that. I expect him to go to Spurs but he also could go to Arsenal and to be honest I think Arsenal is a better club for him than Spurs because Arsenal plays his kind of game I prefer Spurs so I hope he will go there
  7. Wtahced the match Brazil x Germany and I have to say the Germany is playing one of the most beautiful and interesting soccer I've ever saw (since the last world cup by the way). They totally deserved to win and wish Brazil could play like their playing right now, but with our players of course.

Its true, our chairman has stated that we need to move our lesser quality players on 1st, so i hope Stoke to buy Palacios and Crouch. Then we needa sell Hutton, Keane, Bently and Jeans aswell, and invest that money into 1 or 2 quality players.

Regarding his physical condition, how does he go when you've seen him play? When Modric 1st signed for Spurs i remember everyone thought he'd get beaten off the ball everytime, but he's turned out to be a beast.

I think Arsenal will be selling Fabby and Nasri very soon, so they might come in with an offer for him after the two move on. It seems Arsenal and Spurs are always after the same players.

  9. sometimes we're a bit surprising
well played for the first 20-25 minutes, in second half Spain played more as Spain but we found the goal.
not a great but a fair match considering it was a friendship one at this time of the season.

it's disappointing to find Lucio and Maicon in Brazil yesterday evening while they wanted to stay in holiday for the super cup match
considering from whom they get loads of money very professional
    Moratti is always too good
    wonderful as always Julio Cesar
  11. Spurs game vs everton postponed for fucks sake. bring on hearts next thursday.

Also we need to remove this game from the prediction game.
