1. I really missed it, even when I was on the stadium. I think that everyone who had previously seen any Streets video stuf missed that awesome red screen (even tho that flags were pretty good and consequent with the humanitarian job etc etc etc). I hope they bring the red screen back on the next tour

I know, I know... details, details... I work as an accountant. What would you expect?

A guitar playing acountant with knowledge ,and connections to the band we would kill for. In all fairness though, I think they always had at least some red lights.

  3. i liked how they let the lights feedback into the music. You can almost hear the lights on some boots.
does anybody know if that was done on purpose or is it unavoidable?
  4. You cam very clearly hear it on some JT shows.

they actually play a sound over the lights. I've heard it mis-timed on a few boots. That high pitched noise

... you forgot to add AND a really great Gibson Explorer just like The Edge's. Now THAT, my friends, is to die for.
  7. Now you just need a black Strat and a 70s LP.
  8. i'm almost tired of this discussion, since before the tour even started fans were debating whether or not Streets would even work without the red backdrop, and the dialogue of course continues. I think the flags work well for the tour, and I can see how it makes sense and I think it works well although I will always hear that roar at the beginning despite that effect being lost or at least saved towards the end. Having said that, when the lights do finally come up it's like a real explosion and everything goes, and of course goes red. But really you can't beat the traditional set up for Streets, the red just works, the song just builds and builds without Bono having to chant anything and it is truly a spiritual journey. I feel that the red will return for the next tour, or at least something besides the flags, pretty sure those are pigeonholed to the Vertigo tour
  9. In response to the earlier post about the JT film during the Zoo TV Streets I came upon it durung a U2 tube search (the actual film not zoo tv) just type in the following - U2 The Joshua Tree Park Anton Corbijn Movie. Can anyone convert to avi for DVD or MP4?

Thats the footage that plays when waiting for the DVD menu for the Joshua Tree 20th Anniversary edition to load. Takes way to long

Is it supposed to have sound? When I watched the vid, I heard nothing. If it doesn't supposed to have sound, I'd be happy to convert it for you. Although, I would have to send it via e-mail, because I can't figure out how to up-load anything with rapidshare, etc.
  12. I heard somewhere that the film has no sound, but I could be wrong.
