You willing to place your bets on that? How do you know that we all originated from somewhere near the Middle East?

I appreciate you say you haven't got all the answers, but I reckon that if you're going to stick your neck out (and this applies to everyone), you should have a plan to make sure your head returns in 100% when you duck.

    Heh, indeed

Dunno about you, but I have more pressing matters - although whilst I look at this, I'm intrigued to know what you mean by "I believe I'm"...what?

There are reports, I'll look for it at the internet. Once read things about it.

I take the risk mate. I know what the bible says, I can't say things I don't know, it's simple. Matter of trust and trust in God.

I believe I am right at the end, you believe you are (about God or no-God).

Oh I see - I don't believe I'm necessarily right, but I'm not convinced by any religious arguments lol.

As with anything based on opinions, each to their own

Allright mate, I fully agree with you, to each their own. Man, since this topic opened I haven't had the time for U2 here. Not good..

ICR is not neutral, I know. The same goes with theories about evolution though.

Let's re-ask your question: Why should the flood have been caused by nature and not trough God? And the bible says God made the earth, he controls the nature. You're splitting nature and God, forgetting that the nature is God's tool. Maybe God, as I said before, used evolution as a tool. Evolution itself might be the evidence of God's creation, God's power. Do you know what was before the Big Bang? Where it came from, what initiated it?

Okay, if God controls the nature, he interfers in human lifes. What about the free will then? And again, if he uses the nature to bring us natural disasters, he can't be allgood.

  6. I didn't watch the video, but I'll post a few thoughts anyway. The video is hosted on a site that obviously supports Kent Hovind. Hovind supports the idea of Young Earth creationism, an assupmtion that has been refuted a century ago. Even most christian churches reject it. So I don't expect anything serious on that page.

  7. Actually, the consensus in science today is that mankind came from East Africa.
Mesopotamia, is not located in the northwest of Africa, though, it's in the Middle East -Iraq and Syria.

I meant it's north west of Africa (not in Africa), but it's north east, my mistake.

About God's goodwill, God allows the evil to happen but it doesn't come from Him. God hates evil but can cope with it all. People's eyes are sometimes closed and they need to be opened. I don't say that 9/11 and the tsunami-wave happened to turn people to God, but it's a way of God's handling. His reasons, His plans are unknown to people. Faith asks for trust, for believe, putting your heart into His arms. I can't speak for God in this matter, I just now what He has told in the bible.

It's a way of live..I just don't believe we all came from some cell, which itself came from..nothing? And I just don't believe that all animals, vegetation, humans with different and unique characters, colors, shapes, systems, which all work perfectly originated from that same cell.

I respect anyone with different thoughts, whether it is evolutionism, Islam, Budha, Christians, nothing etc..This is what I think, I think life has a purpose, where not here to live and die for nothing.

but isn't incredible how God worked in the situation and brought Americans together to help. God is about Love.

I highly believe that it is by Grace that people are "called" or "chosen" by God. I don't think God is calling certain people yet. He didn't call me until I turned 26.
