1. Make that three.
  2. Maybe just a boost in volume?
  3. Anyone know what has happened to the Uber Box set in UK Stores seems to no longer be listed - HMV Amazon UK etc ???

  4. I think it was recorded digitally as well, because around that time, more artists began to record digitally. My concern is including the Sydney show. That would be a better fit with the 'Zooropa' set (though there isn't going to be one ). It's also already commonly available.. I would've preferred a never seen before concert from the Outside Broadcast leg or something... Don't want to nitpick, but those guys probably have more archival footage of Zoo TV than any of their older tours, so it's mindboggling to me.
  5. I think many of us like the Sydney show it's just that it's not representative of the ZooTV tour - at least in terms of track listing. I would've have really like them to have done something with something from 1992, when the Mirrorball Man was still around.
  6. Check this site out for AB remasters,Price a lot better than most I have seen, still a bloody fortune to fork out for stuff that most people have in some form or another , that's greedy fat cat Mc Guinness for you,it will backfire on them yet! especially in Ireland and the UK where the knives are out for them on their tax affairs and Bono's debt forgiveness campaign which stinks to high heavens of hypocrisy. Pink floyd are releasing The Wall and Dark side of the moon as are Nirvana in similar formats with all the bells and whistles some would argue with even better albums and are not charging half the price of what money grabbing U2 are charging .

    Nirvana - Nevermind Super Deluxe (4CDs, 1 DVD) 75,53
Pink Floyd - The Wall Immersion Box Set (6 CDs 1DVD) 88,93
Pink Floyd - The Dark Side Of The Moon Immersion Boxset (3CDs 1DVDs, 1BR) 88,93
    U2 - Achtung Baby Super Deluxe (6CDs, 4 DVDs) 75,93

    Damn money grabbing U2

  8. The one for The Wall seems like sort of a joke, which is a shame cause it's one of my all time favorites. Nothing new, save for a few collectors-only type items. Movie adaptation of the album isn't even included (I get that it could be owned by different people, but they couldn't reach some sort of agreement? Some "immersion" set..)

It's all the same crap. They put your favorite album in a really big cardboard box, throw things like flashy pictures and stupid crap like marbles, scarves, glasses, what have you, and they charge you $200 for it.

Here's the thing...That's exactly what it is. They're not really suggesting it's anything more than a collectors thing - the big versions I mean. The super deluxe has 6 cds and 4 dvds, 75 bucks is a pretty damn good price for that considering how much CD's and DVD's are in stores. In terms of the uber deluxe, that's all collectors stuff, and yeah it is super high priced. But no one is asking anybody who's complaining about it to buy it. You COULD say it's just "your favourite album in a really big cardboard box, with flashy pictures and stupid crap", but the way I see it it's a bunch of cool memorobilia associated with my favourite music album.

Even a guy at work said "wow that's a shitload, but I still might have to buy it, Achtung Baby is like my favourite album" (he's a huge U2 fan as well). The point is, the extra stuff is there for those who want it, for those who don't, buy a lesser version. I thought the complaining about this was done weeks ago.. guess not.
  10. So the Sydney DVD in there, is it the special edition or just the regular one-disc?
  11. The Pink Floyd ones are going for $180 where I'm at. Still way cheaper than U2, I know.

And Alex I just mean that its nothing new. When I've bought box sets in the past, its been because theres unreleased material on there- new stuff that we haven't heard before, a fresh look on an era. There's just nothing that grabs me about this and its extremely disappointing because there's so much to be had.
