1. OK, firstly who is the bimbo introducing them on the SNL show? Reminds me of Megan Fox or someone

And why is Bono singing gibberish on MoS? he should get Jay Z to give him lessons if he's going to try and rap.

His voice is also really bad, he's struggling to sing the chorus on Breathe. I think the best performances of MoS were definitely earlier Milan or Dublin.

No man that version is brilliant.

I think they could actually put the MoS from Berlin (brandenburger tor) as b-side on the single.

its goinig to SBS from Berlin i guess plus numerous remixes
  4. I hope we get some confirmation about the single soon. And I really hope it comes with a single mix. A shortened version/with some new "rap" vocals. I think it could maybe do well, especially if it were sped up just a little bit. I'll buy the single mix.
  5. I've just watched the Rose Bowl version. Do they skip the "we set ourselves on fire" verse everytime now ? That would be a shame, it's so powerful.
  6. The 'rap' addition is pretty good. Dont care it doesnt sound like Jay-Z, in fact i'm glad it isnt. This is u2 remember Jay-Z is huge in his domain and U2 in theirs. Lets keep it that way

SNL + Better Bono = Epic version

I agree. That's what I'm hoping for if there is a single mix.

They did it because it's too long for Americans.
  9. The day I bought the album, I thought to myself "MOS, with a verse dropped and intro shortened, would make their best single ever" in my opinion. I've never been a fan of their popular songs, pretty much anything on U218, and have been hoping for a different type of U2 single, and here it is!
I think some people here area waaay to critical of it. The whole "ATM Machine" issue needs to be dropped, that's just how people talk. I say "ATM machine" as well as "PIN number," and pretty much everyone I know does as well (Except Philly people who go to the Mac machine...).

It has a great chorus that anyone can sing to, the whole thing has a rather original sound compared to most things on the radio, and personally, it always gets stuck in my head(a good thing).

Maybe the 4th single will be Fez- Being Born / Stand up Comedy

I know that U2 don't have to sound like Jay Z, but that's not good rapping on Bono's part, not like Numb, GOYB etc.

And Jay-Z is pretty good at rapping in rock songs, just listen to Coldplay's Lost+ with Jay Z (Lost is a similar sort of song to MoS) see how much his rapping adds to the song, the lyrics are actually good. Not like Bono's half sensical gibberish
