Massively enjoyed the gig although I would have prefered waiting for Dublin (hindsight). The queuing was a mess, the heat unbearable, I was on an empty stomach, dehydrated (girlfriend the same), burnt through and getting home was an absolute mess. Me and Remy spent 3 hours getting back to our hotels!! Really killed the experience. Even though I was there and feeling the music, I could still pick out all the niggly little thing that do my tits in on bootlegs. I felt like it was really ropey so it will be interesting to hear the first bootlegs. Midset was a little drab with In A Little While, BD, AOH, Still Haven't Found etc. Edge in particular was a little ropey which is massively unusual.

You gotta see that screen during COBL and UF though. Never ever saw anything like it.

The gig would probably get a 7/10 max for me and that for an opening night aint bad. The hunger and desire was there in Bono's eyes. Great to see.
  4. Nice little review Gerard. What about the Tutu-speech seguing into Streets? Glad to have seats for the first gig when I read this.

And yeah, I said I would go to sleep...lol
  5. Before I go to sleep: what was the highlight besides Streets?

Fair dues, fair comment I think the niggling point you make is going to apply to a lot of us seeing our first gigs this time around - we've spent all the last few years going through bootleg after bootleg listening to all the little nuances, picking up on everything, whereas I wonder how much different it would be going to a 360 gig with only the album versions in our minds...Edge has seemed a lil' bit on the offside in some of the recent boots so I'm not that surprised when you think he's spent the last few years coming up with essentially new guitar parts and now a tour comes around where he's got to bring back the older stuff (although you could also say he's done it numerous times before so should be used to it by now!). Ah well, it's just great to have them back on the road, and I for one am buzzing for them to hit the UK!

TUtu was actually a nice little thing. He throws a bit of humour in, only lasts a minute and plays over the top of the organs, then he fades out and EVERYTHING goes red and we get a short ZOOTV streets intro. Very good

  8. It wernt the band. The stage (particularly that screen) and the hilarious visuals on Crazy Tonight. .
  9. Lovely, cheers Gerard
  10. Cool to hear that the Tutu thing works - Crazy sounds mental lol, but I think we were all hoping you'd take a pic or a short clip of Walk On with your reaction to the masks or something

Wasn't wasting the battery mate. Was down to my final bar during Moment Of Surrender.

Kudos to Snow Patrol. They were excellent

Ahaha fair kop fella, I can imagine your piece of kit was running on fumes by the time you took that last pic of the Claw - once again, cheers for the efforts, I'm pretty sure you'll find they were much appreciated by us lot here good to hear Snow Patrol were good too, always positive when a support band puts in a good shift before the main act.
