1. Does Edge not have a stage mic and only an earpiece mic? If so, cool.

  2. Ya I thought I saw that...maybe so he can walk around the cat walk without having to worry to get back to the mic stand.

Yeah, from every video that I've seen so far, it looks like he has had more freedom. McGuinness is probably complaining about how his stage mic was a waste of money.

    don't forget about Larry.
  5. I really dont think I like the crazy remix. I really liked that song on the album. It was one of the ones I like really liked too. And does any other drummers miss the sound of Larry's wood snare? The steel sounds to weak. The brady snare ALWAYS cut through the music, the steel snare just seems to quiet.
  6. Gerard!
mate, thanks a lot for the live feed and pics!!
I'm really glad you had a great time and you enjoyed your first U2 gig....
All the best to you and I hope you get a good rest after all you went through today and yesterday....
    take care and enjoy Barcelona!!!
  7. this is all completely overwhelming
  8. Glad to hear that seats will be good, that Snow Patrol did well, and seeing UV, TUF, and Streets should be awesome (and the visuals for COBL). Heck yeah. I was worried about the "One" thing all night...I saw a little blurb about that on the U2gigs Twitter like right after they played it, and then was without computer access until about an hour ago...guess they played it off somewhat alright, though. I should be able to get the audio from the U2gigs Youtube videos...I'll get that later today (after I sleep and such...it's 4:19 AM here- I went to see Public Enemies- great movie, btw.)

Oh, and I think my favorite moment of the concert so far was during Angel of Harlem when Bono makes reference to Michael Jackson as the "Angel of Indiana"...probably the only time outside of Indiana you'll hear him talk about us. Love it (not that I'm biased or anything, lol).

  9. Agreed!! Completely OverWhelming!!! I'm soo Excited

Don't know if this has been posted already but here's a cool Sneak Peek Video!!
  10. Cool city... way too hot... poor organisation... great stuff by the Patrol... U2 surprisingly "hungry"... piss poor setlist... massive but ugly stage... there's a reason why TUF wasn't played for a while... when did Bono turn into Kermit?... cool visuals... why oh why did they have to ruin MoS?... once more I wonder why I bought tix in the presale. Plenty available there...

All in all, it was nice to see the band back on stage after 4 years. This was certainly the first and last time that I went to an opening night, though... way too much money for a mediocre show.

  11. Ultraviolet was a lot better than I first thought, but I think someone who said earlier Edge's part of the chorus was pre-recorded (probably from the album) is right, which is a shame.

They shouldn't have opened with Breathe, though. I think it would've been better to use Breath for opening the encore, and instead loosen it up with No Line on the Horizon.
  12. just tell me, was the show worth it? i can still buy tickets for los angeles but im not sure if its gonna be fun
