1. I think it's pretty noticeable on songs like Breathe, No Line, WOWY or Still haven't found. He struggled with these before ,though. And I do like his raspier voice.

EDIT There's one on U2t, sourced from the Hallam FM broadcast. Nobody snatched it yet but it's a question of hours. 1 seeder - 500 leechers so far.

Ah I get you and I see...nice stuff re. the Hallam Broadcast, would be cool to see how that turns out. Maybe I should get myself onto U2t...

I also loved it when Guy Garvey from Elbow made one of the stands sing a part of one of their songs (Grounds For Divorce, I think it was) on their own and then he said "no, no, it's not like that, there's significantly fewer of them."

I lol'd a bit, but you probably had to be there.

i think me and my mate was tryign to find a way down to the field at this time so i wasnt really paying attention, i went to see U2 and no one else
    haha
it was an amazing night though, the funny thing was we got talking toa couple of lads, and 1 of the lived right next to me in askern, doncaster and i was like wow what are the chances!!!
  5. For those who can't wait, there's also a recording from Digital radio on U2t. Given the bitrate and format, it sounds ok. Don't know how it compares to the webcast, though. I skipped it.

Thats the 'Q' one right. Will do for most of us, but I'm going for lossless this time.
  7. Second FM recording on Dime.

It will be hard to keep track of all sources and pick the definitive one. I jumped on the Dimeadozen version as the Hallam FM has a skip in Vertigo and the channels are swapped (don't know if the Radio North one is flawless though).

You let us know when you completed downloading the Dime one?
  9. We'll end up with 500 different versions anyway. Each one claiming to be marginally better. Then there are 50 different "remasters" to follow. A rebroadcast next year that "sounds even better" and so on.
I'll stick with the first version I do like.
  10. The one that's up right now isn't all that bad, really. I'll just keep it.
  11. Listening again now thanks to your links - fed up I missed it live but saw them in Chorzow - that memory will live with me forever - it really is the greatest rock and roll show on the planet!
