    2. Love unforgetable fire/ Angel of / Desire/ Ultraviolet
    3. I would take out city/blinding lights & unknown caller replace with one pre Achtung & one post
    4. No problem with the beginning kind of expected something like that
    5. On any given night take out 2 or 3 of the following
    Still haven't found / Pride / One / With or / Sunday / Streets
I know the classics....but the casual fan still hears some classics
The core fans could get a nice mix of
Sweetest things / Kite / Hold me thrill me / Wild horses (find away to play it) / Red Hill
Sort of a homecoming / Electric Co.(loved it since 8th grade in 84) / Out ofControl or many others
    6. Hoping for a nice mix 1st night in Boston and the 2nd night in New York

Take out unknown caller, are you crazy it is a live highlight
  2. I hope they change the live and remix version of I'll go crazy if I don't go crazy tonight soon back to the album version - although that is probably unlikely. The live version is very poor. It's flat and emotionless. The guitar riff is what makes the song good but they have removed it and replaced it with bongos. They seem to talk through the song with the occassional shout rather than singing it. This might have to be my tscheduled oilet break when this comes on.

  3. I wonder if they will play wave of sorrow on this tour. Given that since their last tour they have released loads of stuff like Joshua Tree Remastered (2 disks)and the free U2 Rare and Remastered (or something like that) for the u2.com subscribers they could and i hope they do use some of these songs.
  4. Just 7 days later, I haven't changed my mind. Here's what I think, quoted from myself:

I don't like the whole concept of OSTC (One Structure Three Changes). I strongly dislike that.

    Where's Lovetown I say.

    Please no

I'd rather hear ASOH and Bad together with the already played TUF since these remasters are coming.
  7. I probably said this a while back but I'll say it again for good measure - I've got no qualms with the setlist format as it is, suits me fine. Nice mix of the golden oldies, newer stuff and classics (old and new) and a fair bit of faith in new material - yeah I'd love to see stuff like Bad and WGRYWH (obviously) thrown in but I don't think the setlist is shite for it lol if the two gigs I'm going to this leg are the only U2 shows I ever see, I'll be a happy man as it stands. I'd definitely be even happier if I was at a gig where they threw something in from left-field but I'm not any less happy for the lack of certain songs etc.

Couldn't agree more...ASOH would be magic, for sure. Bad also. Anywho...
  8. Hmm, well at least the Michael Jackson tribute songs seem to have stopped and Elevation hasn't reared its ugly head.

If only they could replace Pride with some rarity.

And where's Drowning Man and Luminous Times?

I have seen many quotes from Paul Mcguiness sayimg the rotating setlist just did not work

They never said they would play Luminous Times, that was just an example

Oh and Vertigo might had more changes and such, but who says thats a good thing?
Maybe they're just really happy with this set and they think this is the way to play it?
And I'm slightly cracking up because of people calling it a weak setlist, while those same people were overly happy when they saw what was played at the dress rehearsal

Oh, and another thought. Maybe there arent many changes in the set because they play in Europe now?
Different countries, different audiences, while in America most shows were kinda similar, as in: overall atmosphere.
When playing in Europe every country has it's own newspapers and media and such, which means they need to convince the people in each country seperate from other countries. Therefore one solid setlist.
  12. i reckon the encore will be moved to just before Streets, the speech thing kinda reminds me of the Zoo TV encore on vertigo, which for the first few shows was before the encore
