First off, I'm going to have to explain the whole scenario. A band called You Me At Six are playing 2 nights in Edinburgh on the 7th & 8th. It was originally going to be on the Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th December but it got postponed due to the severe weather conditions. So the Saturday got rescheduled to Friday 7th January & the Sunday got rescheduled to the Saturday 8th January.
Me and a friend purchased a ticket off of a person we know. She said it was going to be on the Saturday which would be fine. But it turns out she got confused, and the ticket was for the rescheduled Friday date. The thing is, I cannot make it for the Friday so I stood there for 5 minutes deciding if I should just take the ticket. I took the risk. I figured out that I could probably get in with the ticket on the Saturday. I could just say to the security (who rip the ticket to confirm you're going in) that I got confused, or couldn't make, or any other bullshit reason.
So I now sit here very worried incase I don't get in. I've payed £16.50, which is alot of money to risk. I really want to go, but I don't know why the hell I bought it in the first place. It would be very embarrassing to get rejected entry in front of loads of people.
What should I do? Should I take the risk and go for it? What reason should I use? I need help on this. I'd be grateful if anyone could help me with this. Thanks.
Well you kinda have to take the risk unless you can sell the ticket, I'd say go for it though. Just pick the friendlier looking security guys
