  1. Same thing happens to me. But it was great when they came to Zagreb and most of my friends that didn't like (didn't know) them went to a concert. Next few days I was getting SMS messages like: "Now I understand you, it was the best concert I've ever seen!"



    Recently, friend of mine almost choke herself when I said that I consider U2 as my third parent.

    The thing is, people know Beautiful Day and maybe Vertigo, they never heard Lemon, Bad, Zooropa, Moment Of Surrender, Miss Sarajevo...

    What is the best 360 show so far?

    Are there any Vertigo shows that were pure excellent?



  3. 360: Sheffield, Amsterdam I & II, Chicago II, Milan, Zagreb I are all fantastic. If I had to pick one, I'd say go with the Milan show from 7-7

  4. Not so many ppl know this but Houston, Texas is the best 360 show. Bono's voice is perfect and the songs are played well (except maybe for Streets - Edge messed up the intro) but what really makes this show unique is the fact they play in Houston - home of the space stuff a Bono adds a lot of comments about this. My favourite part is when Bono says: "Houston, we have no problem" and Larry kicks in for ISHFWILF.

    I listen to Vetrigo bootlegs very rarely so i dont really know. My favorite is one Chicago 09-21 thou


  5. From what I've heard, the first Saitama show is excellent, I recommend that. Apperantly the other Saitama shows are really good.

    Aerosmith (1973 - 1989, selected songs through the 90s, skip Just Push Play and go for Honkin' On Bobo - the blues!!!)

    Alice Cooper (Killer, Love It To Death, Billion Dollar Babies, From The Inside, the New-Wave stuff, The Last Temptation, Brutal Planet, Eyes, Dirty Diamonds)

    Brian Eno (Music For...series, Before And After Science, Here Come The Warm Jets)

    Brian Wilson (SMiLE is pure pop genius as is anything he did with the Beach Boys).

    Bruce Springsteen (Born In The USA, Nebraska, The River, Born To Run)

    Guns N Roses (Appetite, Lies, Use Your Illusion(s), Chinese Democracy)

    Jimi Hendrix (Are You Experienced, Electric Ladyland, First Rays, Axis Bold As Love)

    Joe Perry (anything he's put out has some damn fine guitar work on it)

    KISS (get a Greatest Hits, Greatest KISS from the late 90s is worthy)

    Led Zeppelin (LZ 1 - 4 and Remasters)

    Meat Loaf / Jim Steinman (Steinman's Bad For Good record is excellent as an entry to Meat. Check out all the Bats (I prefer the second) and Dead Ringer.

    Michael Jackson / The Jacksons (anything besides Invincible and 2300JS)

    Ozzy Osbourne / Black Sabbath (get her on a hits collection first, then go for Blizzard Of Ozz)

    Pink Floyd (avoid The Final Cut, must have Dark Side and The Wall, then explore Meddle, Animals, Piper At The Gates Of Dawn etc...)

    The Who (same again, get a hits collection and avoid the 2006 record)

    Weird Al Yankovic (Essential is the way to go with Weird Al. Some great tunes on there)



    One U2 song that wasn't a single for her to hear - Levitate.


  7. If she's getting into classic rock like that, I highly suggest she hear Iggy and the Stooges and also "Big Girls Are Best". U2 B-side that blows my mind every time- total 60's fuzzrock throwback for me, anyway.

    I'd add 2005-05-28 Boston, and all three Saitama shows.


  9. Ah, yes, the Saitama shows are marvelous. 2006-12-04 is particularly good if you're looking for just one. The intro to "One" is spine tingling, to me, for some reason. Bono saying, so innocently against the intro backing track- "You know what we want for Christmas?" chills me.

    Buenos Aires 2006-03-02 is a must-have for Vertigo, as is Glendale 2005-04-15 and both the Anaheim shows. My three favourites from Vertigo.

    YES! Bad from that show was just great too...

    Buenos Aires 2006-03-02 is a must-have for Vertigo, as is Glendale 2005-04-15 and both the Anaheim shows. My three favourites from Vertigo.


    Ah forgot BA...Sao Paolo is great too. I'd actually add the second night of the entire tour too, 2005-03-30 San Diego - great sound and a killer performance of Electric Co.
