1. I'm in the process of basically downloading all the bootlegs, then will burn them and print out artwork etc. I've had the Elevation tour for about 2 years now, and as I'm sure many of you know someone somewhere created a template so that there is a similar look to all of the artwork, where the city, date, tracklist and photo are changed. The graphic display...being the font, location of the font etc was similar. I'm trying to create my own such template for each respective tour, following the font etc, but I'm rather graphically challenged, so I was wondering if anyone out there had any sort of template, or any guidance for this. In the end I want them all to look similar, so i'm hoping to create new cover art all together.

    Thanks

Can't you just make something in Powerpoint?
ie. use a single slide as the cover and then just print it out and use it as a cover?
That should be very easy for you to make and do the necessary edits

If you'd like I could mock something up for you when I get home, just give me a tour and an example photo

Created an example front cover in powerpoint for the Vertigo Tour

  3. That's fantasitc! I'm definitely going to use that for the Vertigo tour! I have the font so I should be able to import that to the "date" and "city" spots!

If you have anything else let me know!

    You're welcome.
Yea, you can just edit the relevant text fields for date and city and perhaps change the background photo too for each tour bootleg

I could do a back cover for you if you want
  5. Back cover would be awesome! I need to do some tutorials for it I guess to get the other tours up and going! I've already downloaded the Elevation and Boy tours! Let the collection begin!
  6. That is unreal....you are my new hero!

  7. You're welcome, I have too much free time now that I have holidays.
It was an interesting exercise too, I'm quite surprised that you can make something decent looking in PowerPoint.

If more people are interested in these kind of covers I'll do some more. But I'm sure there'll be a whole heap of them in some thread around here, funny no one else has responded as yet.
  8. I'm planning on tackling the other tours on my own....hope to come up with something as decent as yours. It'll look great in the end when I've got them all done and they look similar. Some cool covers out there for the different bootlegs, but I love the Elevation tour, and I love your Vertigo concept. You really captured exactly what I was looking for! I'll let you know what else I come up with, and perhaps post them all as templates. If you do end up with anything else, I'd love to see that too! Thanks so much

Oh, so that's why you're not just downloading the covers available on the bootleg pages here you want them all to be similar in style.

I originally thought you just wanted covers for all your bootlegs and this customisable template thing was the easiest way of doing it.

That's good as I was looking around the site and realised the bootleg pages have plenty of covers for each show, which would have made this whole exercise pointless if you just wanted covers.

I might be able to do another one over the weekend if you want, which tour would you like ?
  10. Hey V-

Thanks a lot for making that Vertigo Template, first of all. It's brilliant, and I never had the Vertigo font before; I had a lot of fun playing with that template tonight.

One question- I specified one for a show I'm making a cover for...how do you get the image to print to a perfect 5x5 for a paper sleeve? I can't find a resize option in powerpoint.
  11. does anyone have a template (like the one for the vertigo tour) for the 360 tour? that would be great!
