1. Awesome DVD covers Stu! Any idea where i can download the DVD's themselves!?!
  2. If they are not in the video section, you could try U2 Torrents, if not, try & trade with some of the many bootleg collectors on this site, i would, but my DVD burner has decided to kick the proverbial bucket!

Ok, finally got the 360 tour cover done. Tried to make it look like the NLOTH single covers.
I also just had to use the official stadium maps in there somewhere (cos they're so cool) so I also did an inside cover page

You can get hi-res versions of those venue maps by changing the following link to include the city name of the show:
    http://360.u2.com/images/largevenues/lg_CITY.jpg

    eg.
    http://360.u2.com/images/largevenues/lg_barcelona.jpg
    http://360.u2.com/images/largevenues/lg_boston.jpg
    http://360.u2.com/images/largevenues/lg_milan.jpg

Then I just used Paint to invert the map colours to black on white, alternatively you could just leave it as is but you will go through ink pretty quickly.

This front cover of this one is really simple to edit, as always remember to send the circular frame to the back of the slide if you want to get at the photo (and remember to bring it back to the front when youre finished positioning the photo).

The back cover is quite hard to edit if you want to keep the same style and format. I have added some slide notes in the ppt that give you some hints on editing.
  4. ^ I love that Camp Nou cover.
  5. Hey V

Love that 360....okay if I use that one too?

Also, I'm looking back and really liking the 1st & 3rd October mock-ups....any chance of posting that template?

I'm almost done the Boy tour, and have the October tour already downloaded.....
this may end up being quite the financial investment
  6. Has anyone got anything made up (or would they be willing to?) for the ZooTV Tour? I'm actually finding this selection of cover art to be the least desirable in terms of variety and taste.
  7. if you guys feel up for it, I second the request for Zoo TV, since it's my favourite tour and I love what people have come up with so far.

  8. a bump for zootv?
  9. ZooTV! ZooTV!

I'd go for the ZOO TV tour as well. I've made some covers myself but there's no real continuity in the cover art, compared to the Elevation tour cover art.
I really love the Elevation cover art, and like the artwork for the 360 tour (two main "lines" in the 360 cover art so far, which is enough) there's directly recognizable artwork. That goes for some cover art for the Joshua TRee Tour a well, although not that many.

  11. Sorry guys, was holidaying (with no net)

I reckon Zoo TV will be challenging, I could have a go if you guys want, but it'll probably take a while.

Do you guys want a cover to encompass the whole tour? or a different one for the Zooropa/Zoomerang legs.

And do you want the design to replicate the messiness seen in the Zooropa album cover, Zoo TV: Live from Sydney cover art and the Stay single cover?
Or would you prefer cleaner, uncluttered cover art like my previous designs

This may sound sort of stupid but....is it possible to contain the mess in some organized fashion? Here's a cover I used a long time ago when I burned my Dublin RDS DVD, though it was perfectly designed. (And as far as the different legs; however much time you have on your hands, its up to you. All my bootlegs from 91-93 just say "ZooTV: (DATE/LOCATION)" anyway, so it won't make a difference over here)

Something similar in CD format with a possible stationary title, always in the same place and font, might come out really smashing

Thanks for putting effort into this...I can't really relay in text how appreciative I am of people who spend large chunks of their time just so I can sit down, hit "right click/save image as...". It really goes a long way, so thank you!
