1. Right there with ya!!!
    The game was yours!!!

  2. As a United fan, I must say, completely disagree with this. All England fans have every right to boo such a poor side. Why should we stand for poor, embarrassing performances at the World Cup? If we knew they were going to be so poor, England fans shouldn't have spent their money going out there and stayed here instead.

  3. starts at a reasonable hour too kewell, kennedy, bresciano and emerton all needa play. having cahill woulda been nice
  4. Just two hours to go for Holland, curious to see if they'll play better the second game. Hopefully they can beat the Japanese and go straight to the knock-outs.

Completely agree, people have saved up their money, booked time off work, spent all their money and then England play so poorly and Capello picks a terrible team, ie Heskey and Barry.

Heskey OUT - Defoe/Crouch in it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OBVIOUS!!!

Barry OUT - Joe Cole in! He is England's most skillful player

What was the point in swapping Lennon for Wright-Phillips, waste of a sub and practically the same player!

    EMBARASSING

Should've taken Walcott as well in my opinion. His pace alone would've offered something extra to the England side last night and against tiring Algeria legs...

Wright-Phillips was poor last night, he may have offered a different approach than Lennon in that he preferred to go on the outside rather than cut in, but his touch was far too heavy and he seemed very sluggish when trying to accelerate away from players.

Rooney, Gerrard and Lampard need to figure out a way of playing in the same team together because it obviously isn't working. Each one of them knows that at their respective clubs they are the driving force, the key man but for England they are to all intents and purposes equal. And they seem to be playing as if they're the key man, trying to almost outplay each other as opposed to working together.

Ashley Cole I must say looked pretty solid last night, from what I remember he was defending well and didn't give too much away when he advanced forward. And I'm not a big fan of Ashley. Our centre backs last night were woeful. Terry almost gifted the Algerians a goal and Carragher was a shadow of the player he is known as.

Capello needs to sit down and take a completely new approach to the England team. Get rid of 4-4-2, it's far too basic. No top team would play the most basic formation in football. We need to devise a way of getting all the players working in unison and they need to have some freedom on the pitch. They're obviously too busy trying to keep the ball and stay rigid. Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, Lennon, Cole - They're all creative players, so let them create!

England was just so lost out there, what in God's name was Gerrard doing wide open in the box trying to thread a pass through to nobody?? So many great players out there and they looked clueless. I already iterated my thoughts about the USA so I won't even get into that....

Bright Side remains though, a win by each and England and USA advance which is what i have hoped for all along. Seems a bit unlikely the way the three lions are currently playing though

The England squad is ridiculously unbalanced, and relies too much on so-called star players who can't play together as a team. We've continually had this problem for a long time, even since Capello took over. We have no genuine left-sided midfielders/forwards in the squad and seem to insist on playing Gerrard on the left - where he was far more effective against the US - and keeping faith with Lampard who is just not up to the task at international football. That could be aimed at a lot of the England squad though, so where we go from here is anyone's guess.
  8. Another terrible match by both Japan and Holland. Good that 'we' scored the goal though.
  9. 10 men aussie squad again after a good start.
  10. I think that this World Cup is throwing away the hopes and expectations from people all around the world...
