  1. Well I guess that this stuff is bound to happen in war. Soldiers are 'brainwashed' that they kill for the 'greater good'. They see themselves as good, the others as evil.

    I mean if you can live with killing someone, you can live with everything.

    Yeah, right. You invade foreign country without any good reason, you kill their civilians and soldiers and then piss on them. Horrible! I really feel sorry for those assholes.     We had ample reason to invade Afghanistan, and the dead in the video were Taliban, you know the guys who chop off the heads of still living prisoners, and pay bountys for killing medical personal. Take your left-wing elitist world citizen attitude, and go fuck your face with it. Go bitch about some imaginary hate crimes agaisnt Muslims or something.

    Wow, you even think it was those soldiers that decided to go to war? It wasn't, it was a guy called George.

    And Aaron, I doubt anyone really considers that an excuse to piss on a dead body.

    Not trying to make excuses. Just pointing out, that as a military history expert, this barely moves the needle on the atrocities scale, and mostely just falls under the tasteless acts category. Read about the The Rape of Nanking, and ask yourself if you still care about this. If that dont do it for you, read about Pool Pots rise to power. Make no mistake, these Marines were behaving badely, but its hardely the end all war crime some are making it to be.

    You can't blame George anymore. Obama had a chance to end this farce and he didn't. For me, he's the same as Bush was. Just look what's happening last few days in Israel and Kuwait because of Iran.

    That wasn't what you were saying in your post either. You were making it sound like it was all of the U.S.'s decision, and especially the military.

    Oh, and BTW, you should read my post again, I was saying it was Bush's decision to go to war, and it was.

    Obama and Bush the same? Really? Which countries did Obama invade again? Libya? No, wouldn't call it that.

I don't want to takes sides with the US Military (I assume that's who we're talking about), but in a war situation, where life is unimaginably tough and you've seen comrades fall, you're bound to act a little inhuman towards the enemy when you finally come into contact with them. Of course, conventions, acts and ethics are all there for a reason but in a situation we can't even begin to imagine, all of those must be tested to some extent.

    I can sit here and say that urinating on the enemy is wrong but then again, I haven't been to war, fought in a tough environment against a seemingly elusive opponent and lost friends in battle. In the shoes of someone who has been there, I guess it all comes down to the mentality of the soldier. I'm sure they don't sign up to simply humiliate other humans.

    Farce? Could it be that Obama took office and then learned a few things about this 'farce'? He didnt end it because he had an "oh shit Bush was right" moment.

    How was he right? US army went to Iran to search for weapons of mass destruction. There were no weapons of mass destruction. USA also claimed that Saddam was linked to Al'Qaeda. They were not. But anyway, 110.000 civilians are now dead. How the fuck was he right?

    Of course it is catastrophic. There are already terrorist acts in Baghdad and all over the Iran. There are clashes in Libyja where people are dying every day. USA promised to establish democracy in Iraq and all they established is just chaos and country in ruins.

    Not to mention Afghanistan where Taliban forces are as strong as they were before US army came there. Afghanistan is a new Vietnam for USA.
