Anyway, I can't believe bullshit that are coming both from right and left in this campaign in USA. Right-wing with 'legitimate rape' shit and Obama and his wife with sweet talk: 'He's the same man I fell in love 23 years ago." Who cares.

And yeah, I can't believe how low Eastwood fell with his talk to empty chair.

Clint's speech made my day. The lefts reaction to it made my month.

And I'm pretty sure he dont give a fuck what you think about it.

I wonder, what kind of home schooling did they get :#

You've never once had an issue with MSNBC editing stuff to push there agenda. You cant only be for media neutrality when it suits your own needs. And using this to slam home scholling is low. Quite frankly I expect better from you.

Well you couldnt seriously expect someone believing that story of yours. I seriously think half that story is made up.

Yes, kids are required to attend some form of education. They have to be registered and attending a school which complies with regulations. NOT a public school perse, as I attended a 'catholic' secundary school without any problems.

Afaik home schooling is only possible here if you get an excemption from the authorities, that approach is fine by me. Kids need to be protected from overzealous parents in these case, except when they have good arguments why.

Homeschoolong was an issue on the news a while back here because some random chick age 16 wanted to sail across the globe alone (homeschooling herself on the sailboat). She found some kind of loophole. Unfortunate, because who will stop 15 / 14 / 13 year'olds to break her record now.

I have no issues with home scholling. As more people realize how incompetent, and corrupt the tecahers unions are, it will only get more popular.

  6. Well trust me when I say this. All American news networks are shit.

The important thing is most conservatives, will admit FNC is biased, and has it share of dubious moments. Getting a lefty yo admit CNN/MSNBC is biased is like pulling teeth.
  7. All media is biased, that should be common knowledge.

  8. Yeah, the thing is if I do some quick math, I come to the conclusion that I should now some people that have been kidnapped. I don't.

This is why it's good to have good public service news that by law shall be unbiased always letting both sides in politics speak. In Sweden you can watch news that are largely unbiased, of course they'll never be perfect though.
  10. And BTW: Those parents got arrested for trying to flee the country when they had committed a crime. They were homeschooling their kids themselves without permission from what I've been able to find, not with permission like the article says. In Sweden every kid must go to school from the start of first grade at 6/7 years old, to the end of school in 9th grade at 15/16. This is a very important law. Homeschooling is allowed when there are special circumstances and must be tutored by a qualified teacher. These were parents who were conspiracy theorists keeping their child from going to school to teach it themselves. They were breaking the law and then tried to flee the country. The kid nowadays seems to have been placed in a surrogate family that he's been adopted by.

That's what I've found. Believe me, if there was something weird for real in this story, there are newspapers here who'd have jumped on it. It would have been everywhere. As it is now, you can only find this story in the more obscure corners of the internet.
