1. Well I already have a problem that I am not trying to cure so an overdose is inevitable.
  2. LOL..ok then,just pace yourself Matt....
  3. For the last 10 days or so,I have been listening to the 1st leg,of the 2003 North American Tour. There are some really great shows from this leg.Its hard to know what shows to listen to,since there are so many released gigs to choose from.I have listened to basically every show the band have released since 2000.This took some time, but I have been a slightly over the top fan since the bands inception,so it really wasnt too hard to do.

The first 2 that come to mind are Raleigh NC 04.15.03 and Charlotte NC 04.16.03.These 2 are above average, and the band are on fire.

Another very popular show from that week,Atlanta,GA 04.19.03.Crown Of Thorns is performed, with Brendan O'Brien on keys.

There are 5 classic standout MUST HAVE shows in April, after Atlanta.St Louis 04.22,Champaign 04.23,Pittsburgh 04.26,Philly 04.28 and Nassau 04.30.The Nassau gig had the infamous near riot, after EV came out wearing the Bush mask.I was at this great show, and it was not pretty, and I will leave it at that.......

After the Nassau fiasco, the band played another 2 MUST HAVE stunning shows in Buffalo NY 05.02.03 (3CDs) and Penn State PA 05.03.03 (3CDs).Both shows are very long, but fantastic.Penn ST was released commercially.
  4. You two OWN this topic, it's astounding
  5. It just show that Matt,Ronnie and I are absolutely mental for PJ...LOL
  6. I listened to the Melbourne '98 gig this week. It's outstanding.
  7. That is a very good sounding show.Also try,Seattle 07.22.98.Its a soundboard..great gig...
  8. I haven't taken the time to listen to any Austrailan/New Zealand shows from '03, '06, or '09. How do they stack up against the NA/Europe shows?

It makes sense for me to evenutally get into the 2003 shows. As great as the 2000 tour is I tend to rank Riot Act a bit higher that Binaural and would like to have more listens to those songs (and it's big three b-sides). The somewhat hidden gem, "Can't Keep" doesn't appear too much afterwards - aside from EV solo tour, of course.

So Brendan O'Brien worked with the band in both the studio and on the stage - interesting. So what were the circumstances that led them to take on Boom?

The 2006 shows, and 2009 shows from Australia, are really great. For some reason,I never got into the 2003 Australian or Japan gigs.

2 shows from that leg,in 2009, that IMO, are fantastic are Melbourne 11.20.09.Oceans is played 8th,and Indifference is played early during the 1st encore. Also of note, the Big 4 (Even Flow,Jeremy,Alive and Black) are played.Incredible gig.

    Christchurch,New Zealand is also unreal.30 tunes.GTF opens,Animal,In My Tree,GARDEN...really a standout show.

Hawaii, from 12.02.06 is a great gig,and is a persoanl favorite of mine from the entire tour.As is the Newcastle Australia show from 11.19.06.
