  1. so aside of that garbage ehm festival .. some west coast rumor is showing out ..

    OK, so, ya ready for this? I asked Mike about the ATL and FL dates and if there were to be any others this year. He said that they are going to play in San Francisco in September! Now, with PJ playing all of these festivals, it had me guessing Outside Lands, but that is being held Aug 10-12, and does have Neil and the Foos. So, perhaps they’ll be added to that if Mikey was mistaken on the month. I don’t think he meant the Bridge School as having played there a ton, he would’ve known to say October. So, if he’s spot on with September, maybe we’ll get a non-festival show somewhere in San Fran. He joked and gave me the mums the word line, “You didn’t hear it from me.” So, go crazy folks, go crazy. West Coasters rejoice! And all fans for that matter, that hopefully this pans out and we all have an opportunity to see the guys with another date and location this fall!

  2. HAHAHAHA Ronnie..that was good..Philly isnt a place I look to hang in...the fans there are a mixed bag......and having a mixed "rap" crowd..with a PJ audience..in Philly ?..that = disaster...
  3. i think you're right .. i really don't get it, maybe my limit in music world of these times.
    i don't understand why they have to be there .. PJ trying to break through hip hop fans? Jay-Z trying to make hip hop break through PJ fans?
    probably it's just a matter of $ .. but in this case weren't there other proper festivals left? given that they seem to want to do only festivals this year in US
    anyhow i don't like this thing at all
  4. Well...PJ has said that their new album is going to be a bit "experimental."

    Maybe Eddie and Stone will trade raps...Matt Cameron will turn in his drum kit for a turntable...Mike will beatbox...and Jeff will dance and skateboard in the background.

  6. I am very curious what kind of set they'd play in a "rap" environment. Would "Off He Goes" go off as well...it's a bit "country."

    I feel that I am imposing a stereotype on the JayZ crowd. Is that bad?
  7. good so what my fav bands are doing is .. PJ a rap album .. U2 a boyband style album
    i never thought to get old in this way hehehe

  11. On fri...2 hrs before Dave Matthews Band took to the stage,the opener of the 2012 Summer Tour,they emailed their fanclub memebers a new tune called Gaucho,its good,and produced by Steve Lillywhite...they also announced their new cd will be released in Sept

    Steve Lillywhite is producing with DMB again,he produced their best music in the '90s...

    I wish U2 would get together again with him..not Danger Mouse....I feel U2 rely too much on Eno..and basically do whatever he says...

    I hate the fact PJ new disc wont be out til "sometime next yr"...same goes for U2...this 4 - 5 yrs between releases is weak.....what the hell happened to Ascent of......whatever it was called ?????

    Its amazing when bands start out..they can release 5 studio albums in 7 yrs (u2)....from 1980-1987

    or 4 in 5 yrs like PJ did from '91 - '96

    or DMB '94-'98...3 great albums....their best releases.....etc etc...
  12. I suppose they don't release material more frequently because they don't really have to. For example, U2 waited four and half years between HTDAAB and NLOTH and they ended up having the biggest tour of all time. Plus U2, like PJ, could keep their fans satiated by releasing remasters, movies, etc. without worring too much about releasing any new albums.

    I suppose these bands just want to "get it right" but I hope they don't end up sacrificing heart/soul while trying to overthink things.
