Giving blood is a great thing to do. It can save lives for real.
  2. I'm studying to be a cop. I feel I should set a good example.
  3. Good. I think it's something that everyone who is able to should do. It's a great thing.
  4. Doing something for the purpose of trying to get the girl is stupid.

Unless its a good, thing and you have other reasons for doing it as well, but if trying to get her makes me a better man, so be it. Shes the religious, family-oriented type, and like me is a bit of a loner, but the important thing is, she'll never go for me unless I act like the best version of me I can be (I was already moving that way. I'm not just trying to be a good man to improve my love life, but to improve my entire life.)

So this morning I was talking to my lady-friend. It was a vey nice conversation, we were both laughing, and getting along well. (I'd probally be talking too her now, but I ain't seen her since around noon. She seemed like she might be sick with something, so I woulnd't be suprised if she sent an email to our Englsih professor stating she didn't feel well and would miss class(something she has done a number of times. Always with a legit reason, but you can fail the class if you miss it too many times regardless)and took the early bus back too town. Admitedly I feel like I may be coming down with something. As much as I like her, I hope I didn't get something from her).

So among other things she was telling me about her uncles wedding. Included in this was the facts that her cousins were trying to get her to dance with a guy from the wedding band (sounded like she didn't). Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but was she trying to tell me that she doesen't have a man in her life right now? The implication being that I should make a move.

Personally I feel I may be reading into it way too much, but its nice to get a second opinion.
  7. until she clearly tells you she has someone (if she really has) you are entitled to assume she's free .. so make your moves
  8. Logically she does not as if she did, she would have been dancing with him, and her cousins would not be trying to play matchmaker. (like I said sounded like she didn't dance with him.)
  9. Don't overthink things too much. I often do and then things get weird, but probably only in my mind.

Unless her boyfriend wasn't invited? Then he wouldn't be there to dance with and she wouldn't dance with someone else out of respect for the man she loves...

I'd take Ronnie's advice, if she hasn't mentioned someone else, then assume she is single. If she is with someone, you won't lose her as a friend, so it's not the end of the world. Who knows, she may be playing the exact same game for you. Her cousins trying to set her up however, points to either her being single or them wanting some childish fun.
