  1. Shes opened up to me recently. Nothing important, but the kind of stuff you dont tell a random guy. I want to open up to her, but I have a pretty guarded personality. I figure this could help with that.

    I first read "I want to open her up" and laughed hard xD Yeah, that's always nice. Getting slightly closer, becoming good collegues, then becoming good friends. Then try to open her up haha
  3. I realized after I made that post that someone was going too take it that way. Like I posted previously though. I'm not looking for sex. I'm looking for a meaningful long-term relationship. Sex is an afterthought for me.

    Also I had a hilarious thought: Woulnd't it be funny if I started dating her, and I found out that she overanalyzed everything I said, and asked her net friends for advice? Stranger things have happened.
  4. It's probably easier to sound cheesy than creepy. Obviously don't just walk up to her and say "Hey, you have pretty eyes". If, for some reason, it comes up in conversation, take the chance to tell her. Otherwise, I'd wait until 'a moment' arises, such as sitting over a coffee together or having a quiet chat alone, where you can look into her eyes and see how she reacts. If she says "What are you staring at?" or you make her think she has something on her face, look away and apologise. Easy to do if you're listening to what she has to say. If she's happy to just look back into your eyes, GO!

    When I was chasing a certain somebody, it took me a while to complement her appearance. If she says, as women do, "I hate my lips" (for example), that was permission to complement. Only when we were actually together did I take it upon myself to complement her without prompt. Personality is always a key ingredient anyway, talk to each other, share your lives and soon, you'll come together naturally. Be there for her, be the one person she knows she can turn to for anything.

    Anyway, the point is, don't push things unnaturally. Situations will occur where you can make small little moves that build up to the big moment.
  5. One thing I've been doing. Bring up issues from previous conversations, in current conversations. I've heard many women like this as it shows you listened to them. For instance, last Thursday she came in late, because her laptop died, and she was seeing what was wrong with it. First thing I asked her today was if she got it fixed(its down for two weeks). On that same Thursday, she recommended a book too me. When we talked later that day, I made it a point of telling her that I looked up the plot, and said it sounded intresting (she told me I could borrow it. I turned her down as I had plans for the weekend, but told her I may take her up on it in the future.)

  7. Yes, women like it when you listen. I'm lucky in that I remember minor little details about people. I can recall conversations with many people over many years, even people I no longer know. So bringing up past points of conversation isn't too difficult. Sometimes it surprises people because they've forgotten and expect me to have forgotten too.

    But yes, keep showing her that you're not only listening to her, but interested in what she has to say too. Once you start to open up to someone, you start to trust them. You have to, they know things that others might not. It sounds like she is quite comfortable with you, it sounds like she does trust you. And in today's world, trust is a little hard to come by.
  8. I too have been blessed with the ability to remember minor things. Very useful for someone studying for a career in law enforcement.

    I'd say shes comfortable around me, but the fact that she trust me means less in my opinion since she seems to have a predisposition to trusting people. I have a much harder time. I have opened up to her enough though to tell her that I have not talked to my father in years, and admited the embarasing story of accidently destroying a family heirloom.

    On a random note, I know a thing or two about body language, and hers says she likes me, but the question oviously would be, whether or not its on a subconscious level.(all body langauge being subconscious, but whether she likes me being the thing that may or may not be subsconscious). This morning I got the impression, that she was annoyed with me for not saying anything to her when I first saw her, and being somewhat obnoxious with my friends. My friends are jerks. There fun to be around, but I dont like having the kind of deep conversations I can have with her when there around.(I got along well with her later in the morning).

    Also I appreciate you guys letting me turn this into the "Aaron bitching about his life thread". I dont like discussing these issues with my real life friends, and you guys tend to give decent advice.

    Plus I think Sergio is just happy to keep me out of politics.
  9. Another between the lines thing I just realized. She always finds an excuse to take her phone out when I'm around. Not as a avoidence measure, usually too show me some pictures or something, and she actually had a conversation going with me, well she was texting her friend. Seems like this could be interpreted as her implying I should ask for her number.

    Romance has got to be easier for dumb people.

  11. When you go on your date that's not a date, give her your number. "Do you want my number, just in case something comes up and you can't make it?" If she wants it, she'll say yes.

    Don't just ask for her number unless you have a reason to have it.
