Omnipresent = being everywhere; omnibenevolent = all-loving; omnipotent = all powerful

(aha, if I had all the answers, I'd keep myself to myself because I doubt I could cope with the whole world wanting to ask me something! )

all that sounds nonsense to me (although I do like the splitting of the sea image).

I believe the Big Bang Theory. It's backed up by sound evidence where as the God theory is basically 'how? well he just did). I like that science can't prove everything (or hasn't yet) but I don't think it's right to say 'yep it was God' just because of that. We might have the answers someday and for some reason I don't think it's gonna be God.
  3. Something I've always wanted to know is how some people can go to lourdes etc and be cured of their disease and claim it a miracle (on God's part) however, amputees never have their limbs regrown. The amputee may be the most loving and caring person around but God decides to cure paralysis, not amputation.

It may sound a bit of a piss take but I do want to know.

ask a doctor I reckon. A nerve twitch for someone with paralysis is all it takes to regain movement. Look at our Jeremy even. He was as good as paralyzed. Did the consultants and rehabilitation get him back on his feet or was it god? (I think it was U2start myself to be honest)
  5. I believe what I believe. for me I have seen a 180 turn around in my life. I have full faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

    lol
  9. anyone can believe what they want. I have been revealed truth. God unveiled my eyes to it. It was by no other means. The only think I can say is that I'm very thankful to God for His amazing grace in choosing me as one of His children. The path is small to eternal life. The highway is big to death though.

If I were someone who didn't believe I would pray non stop and seek God non stop and see if He doesn't show up in your life.

You don't want to be at the end of your life without knowing Jesus Christ.

And hey, if Jesus Christ isn't real at the end... who cares? At least you played it safe right?

    1. If the devil has power, too, how can god be omnipotent then? If he uses suffering intentionally to teach us, how can he be omnibenevolent?

    2. So, if humans know time, do they know more than god?
So you don't believe in Verbal Inspiration, did I get that right?
And why shouldn't the complexity you mention be the result of evolution and coincidence? It has lasted billions of years and still goes on...

    1. God is omnipotent, the devil once was a servant of God. He is a fallen angel, angels aren't perfect either in someway. The bible doesn't really exlain it that clearly, so that's the limit of my answer. I can't tell you things I know nothing about. A quote to clearify.

    Judas : 6:
You also know about the angels who didn't do their work and left their proper places. God chained them with everlasting chains and is now keeping them in dark pits until the great day of judgment.

About the cruelty in this world, and God being omnibenevolent: Many people have problems with this, and this caused many Christians to let their faith go. These questions are completely natural, because it doesn't stroke with God being omnibenevolent. Omnibenevolent doesn't mean that God can do everything, because He can't lie etc. It even doesn't mean that all the things that happen are His will. It means that God can handle and cope with the evil. It's against His will (God's order) but can't happen without His will (God's plan). What that plan is, we just don't know. God moves in mysterious ways.

So you might say that God allows the evil to happen. That's true, he allows it in certain ways. And it is for our own good. We will benefit from it. So then you can say God is guilty for the evil, because he allows it, but.. On the 1st place, the evil doesn't come from God, He hates it. But He is so powerful that He can allow it without carrying the debts. And that's also something 'unbelievable', I can't understand it either, but I believe it. Humans always want answers, want to know everything, and when there isn't evidence or a good explanation, it isn't true. Humans should accept that God is unimaginable.

    2. We don't know more than God. I meant: we are used to time, everything starts and ends. God didn't start somewhere and won't end, He doesn't live in days with a night and day, He doesn't sleep, He doesn't get old..he's the origin of life, He is the creator. But ofcourse He known us people have time, we invented it ourselves..

About Verbal Inspiration..it's the question if you interpret the bible literally or methaphorical. We know what the bible says, how you interpret it differs from person to person. Genesis explains the beginning of this planet, if isn't a scientific story to answer all the scientific questions we have. It's a record/report of God's creational activity.

About evolution...how did that first cell after the big bang get 'life'? What caused it to evolve? That cell would have had a very complicated structure. Not chaos and coincidence are the basis of life, but God, who is the origin of life. At least, that's what I believe.

And evolution asks for the same amount of believe as God's creation. It's a theory, not even proved. There's a missing link with the change of humans to animals and vica versa. When you believe the evolution, you think that everything started from that first blast. So the vegetational world and the animal kingdom would be evolved from that very first chunk of cells. But in the various levels of Earth's surface these transitions from vegetation to animals to humans aren't there. Scientist have found many different groups of animals (mammals, fish, reptiles, birds etc.) without finding the transitions. And if an animal would evolve trough evolution, how can you explain the presence of a man and a woman at the same time? They need each other to multiply...Further on, it would be some coincidence that the needed vegetation was there for the animal to eat in it's struggle to survive. And how come that there's exactly enough sunlight for that vegetation to grow and life? Evolution is based on a lot of coincidences...

Faith/God is something you believe or not..no one can ever prove God's existence, otherwise, it would be science too. I dare to say evolution is a religion too.
