1. Flowers once said that he doesn't like to be on the stage because he can't concentrate on songs...while on the stage, he said that he thinks about things he has to buy for his house and so on...

I mean...you want to be greater than U2 but you don't like performing live?

I adore Killers, they're my TOP5 band, but you know...AMBITION BITES THE NAILS OF SUCCESS!
  2. I would think he was more or less joking; yet purposefully being arrogant. Brandon Flowers has never denied his love and adoration for U2. As a band, why wouldn't they want to conquer U2? I think the Killers are among the best bands around today and I can't wait to hear their new album. I also think Kings of Leon are a contender to be around for a while too, so stoked about their new record
  3. 99% = Bullshit

    Like this.

  4. I have to respectfully disagree by FAR with you on that one. I saw them on SNL this past saturday, and I thought they were shyte. A lot of my "punk" sort of friends like them, and I never understood why. For me they're like the Arcade Fire, a lot of people seem to like them when to me in actuality the only reason they get attention is because they're a little bit different, but not a good different. I don't know, maybe they were just playing bad songs and they weren't performing well, but when I saw them on SNL I thought (wow how is this band famous, and, wow this singer needs a new hairstyle, it looks like a comb over)

Sorry mate, but I don't think they have any chance of fighting for the musical pedestal. As for the Killers, there's nothing wrong with ambition, but there's no need to be arrogant about it Mr. Flowers. Also, what's the difference if you're old? All of the classic rock bands are making come backs lately and it's the best music that's been played live in decades. I like the Killers, but sometimes I don't like Brandon Flowers.
  5. I have an idea or sugggestion:

why dont the Killers retire instead

Frontman Brandon Flowers admits he is a big fan of the band, but feels it is time for the ageing musicians to be replaced as one of the world's most successful bands.

The singer is also convinced that The Killers will be able to topple the legendary group.

"(We can replace U2 on the top) pedestal," he said. "They're getting old. You know there's going to be a couple of songs on (their) new record you're just going to love. But there's gotta be... I dunno. It feels like it's time."

I think Arcade Fire and KOL are definitely two of the best bands today. Have you listened to much of their music? I've seen both bands live and they are by far one of the best bands I've seen, and that includes U2

I haven't seen KOL on SNL yet, but their new songs are great. and yes, the singer's current hair style is not his best
  8. Oh god! I hope this doesnt mean that the album is gonna be delayed even more as U2 want to prove everybody wrong!!!

Last time I checked killers only made 3 decent songs: Somebody told me, Jenny was a friend of mine and mr brightside!

I think Sam's Town is an even greater cd than Hot Fuss; it took longer to get into but when I did I couldn't turn it off
  10. I cant understand when somebody tell such thinks.... How group of such scale may be replaced other group...

Really who has replaced or dumped from a pedestal such groups like ABBA, The Beatles or Elvis Presley?
    Ill tell you - nowone!
Because such groups and such people Cannot be anymore... All of them are individual and unique as well as their creativity.

    This is my opinion...
  11. Poor guy, thinks that they can replace U2.
