1. Won't be the Kuip at the 9th and 10th of July. Yesterday's report was based on false rumors, like I expected. It still remains unknown until U2 will announce the tour, what makes perfect sense.
  2. It'd be pretty comical if they didn't offer presales through a U2.com paid membership, but they did through a free livenation membership...

Uproar. And U2 couldn't even pass the buck as whichever way pre-sales are gonna work would have been clearly outlined as part of the livenation deal. I'd be well pissed but getting the fecking tickets is the first concern, regardless of who does the pre-sale.

Anyone got any suggestions for U2's walk on music for this tour? I was at the Vertigo show in Cardiff and they didn't use Arcade Fire, which was a shame.

    yes they did

Anyone is free to join...but it's weird that LiveNation seems to be free. I had access to Coldplay-presale, so why not to U2?

    Strange world we live in....

So folks, register at Livenation and get tickets

I did a couple months ago when I thought it might help me out, even if it's a very slim chance
  7. Maybe an idea for the upcoming tour:

Surely it's no weirder than registering at Ticketmaster to get advance notice of when they put tickets on sale.

As far as getting guaranteed or pre-sale tickets for the tour from U2.com or LiveNation I'm not sure what the following statement from Bono suggests:-

"We've been dating for over 20 years now, it's about time we tied the knot. With regards to U2.com, we feel we've got a great website, but we want to make it a lot better. We want a closer, more direct relationship between the band and its audience and Live Nation has pledged to help us with that."
  9. On another note, how far advanced do you guys think the band are in rehearsals? They must be starting regular sessions soon. They must also have an idea of what back catalogue songs they have in mind and what would go well with the new album by now.

  10. Does anyone know how it's possible to register to livenation when you live in europe,
because you can only choose between us and canada?

    thanks

Nope, there is a Dutch version (livenation.nl) so there might be an Austrian verison too, although I can't find it.
