From the first listen (yesterday 12:00 AM) to the last one (today, right now), I've loved the album as a whole and most of the songs as individuals. Musically it's very strong, just some weak points, and lyrically it's good to very good (MOS and COL are awesome). THe only thing I dislike a bit is Bono, he just doesn't feel right, he sings too high too often, and seems tired sometimes, but overall he's quite good. Adam and Larry are specially great, and Edge is, as usual, from another planet&age.[..]Well, that sentence is amazing IMO. Have you ever heard of the humanitarian help carried by soldiers on some countries? They go there with tanks and rifles, but then they give oranges and milk for free... It's awesome in my opinion.

I agree that Bono is the weak link on the album, he is too prone to excess and melodrama, with all the self indulgent ohhhs etc.
He should go back and listen to AB and see what he's doing wrong. His lyrics have also become rather inconsistent in recent times, you can have one great lyric followed by a shocker.

Are you talking about some of the lyrics? then yes.
I also think you are forgetting that there was a little album called AB inbetween.

No, he's referring to your opinion.![]()
Why should AB be everyone's favorite? It's not. I mean, it's mine, but I don't think it should everyone's.
And I'm not disappointed a bit with new record, it's better than I could ever expect.
