Magnificent won't be remembered as a highlight in U2's career for this particular record, for me.
I don't understand, I said Breathe would have made a better single choice than Magnificent. Originally posted by vanquish:I do, when ur fav band is one of the most despised in the world, you need all the ammo you can get.

That's assuming the people against whom you need said ammunition equally place a lot of emphasis on Grammy nominations and wins - hell, surely the fact that U2 have won 22 Grammys is more than enough 'ammo' if you place a lot of value of such stats.? You could also simply make the point that music is personal and everyone has a different take on it, hence why you like U2 and others like whatever they like.

But I do like that U2 has a limited bunch of fans, rather than being mainstream idols.
I completely empathise seeing as I'm often in the same argument, but over time it's come to pass that people just accept that I like U2 and 'there's nothing [they] can throw at me that I haven't already heard'. Maybe it'll give you a bit of hope lol, I dunno. I guess it depends what the line of argument actually is, but we're arguably going a bit OT so I guess we should move over to another thread
