Can´t remember a tour where the setlist has been discussed so much![]()
Also economic situation, although we seems to have an economic crisis, normally people went to one concert and went all for it, now people visit more concerts, and so expect other songs played, while the band try to get in some rythm, as they normally do on tour, to feel comfortable with it all.
For me it never wil be boring, you know what to expect. Rather have many songs performed great then suddenly a new song which is not played to it´s full potential. My 2 cents.
One note, WOWY indeed really needs to be dropped, agree with that, as the passion in that isn`t just there.

Drop Streets too, just heard some Streets from the Vertigo Tour and it was more alive there..and that says a lot.

That's like saying give me a U2 show without instruments!

Setlist has been pretty good so far but if I was to be picky as the topic name suggests:
No Wild Horses yet
Nothing from Boy yet
Nothing from Pop yet
No Even Better.... or Hold Me...
They're my only real negatives but you can't have 'em all.
The good things:
Some diversity early on
Mysterious Ways, Elevation and New Year's Day have been played infrequently
Return of a few old classics and favourites
Bullet has taken a well-earned rest.

Originally posted by Angel_or_Devil:Hi, has anyone who have seen U2 so far in this tour with GA tickets been able to get into the elipse? If so how did you manage it, did you just queue for a long time?. I understand that the Red Zone are standing tickets inside the elipse but to the sides of the stage which leaves the front available. I'm catching U2 at Wembley next week and would like to get in the elipse if I can.
Thanks for you input.![]()
I may have put this in the wrong topic. I thought I could have put it into the Wembley topic but people who may not be going there may not read it.![]()

Anyway, it'd be nice to see them shake up the first songs in the setlist every now and then. I mean Breathe sounds so dull (in my opinion) to start off the concert. Remember in the Veritgo Tour they'd try out COBL, LAPOE and Vertigo as the first songs? Well they should try out the others like NLOTH or GOYB - we already know GOYB has a decent intro. Don't get me wrong I love Breathe it's a great song, but the first song? I don't know. I don't think it's explosive enough to throw you in the mood for the rest of the show, but that's just my opinion.

I completeley agree with you about Breathe ! I love this song, but for me it's not the right song to begin the show... (why not with "No line...", "Discotheque", "City of Blinding..." or "Even Better..." ?...) Same thing with "Magnificent", played too soon for me...I'd dream for a "Magnificent" encore !(I was at the first Paris show

It's true that the setlist can be discussed again and again...Personnaly, I regret that there were not enough songs from Achtung Baby, some songs would have been great in this tour I think...
My opinion :
• put "The Fly", "Acrobat" "Even better..." in the setlist,
• play "Gone" !
• remove "Vertigo", "Pride", "In a little while"
• am I the only one to regret the lack of "Stand up Comedy" and "Fez-Being born" ???![]()
Said that, I lived great moments with "The unforgettable fire", UV, "I still haven't..."!!!
