  9. I don't think it should be closed. I noticed there was a WW2 discussion a few pages back which is healthy. Every time I go on youtube my faith in humanity dies a little; free speech is a wonderful thing until its abused.

    Most recently here in Ireland we had one of our more famous comedians make 'jokes' about the Holocaust that were in extremely poor taste. Many people's reaction seems to be 'the holocaust was a long time ago man', which is a truly disturbing sentiment.

    As they say ""those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it".

    To add my say on foreign policy, America's can be obnoxious at the best of times but I also think Europe's is worse on many levels. While America comes off as arrogant for it they push for regime change in many nations, and use political power to spread democracy. Sometimes they go overboard and botch it up. Europe however will take whatever it can from whoever it can. If a modern day genocidal dictator like Hitler existed, there would be no qualms from Europe in dealing with him. Turkey, with an appalling human rights record is being moved to the top of the queue to get into the EU.
  10. You know who suggested the EU to accept turkey did you USA strongly suggested it. I agree though, Europe isnt any better because we cant agree on anything.
