1. Ok it got alot of criticism at the time for the 'dance' vibe etc but i'm interested what U2 fans think of this now 12 years on?
    I love listening to the tours bootlegs,it was a great show in my opinion although i have to say other tours were far better.
    So guys looking back Popmart Love or loathe???????
  2. I love the album they were supporting but the tour didn't make justice to it. Just too many backing tracks and too poor voice and energy most of the time. Listening just to ONE show is great, but you go throughout the tour and you see the same setlist night after night, it's painful to see. And some concerts are painful to hear, too

    Popmart = 6 / 10 overall for me.
  3. Love.

    Love.

    Love some more.

    Not a bad album either
  4. Popmart 10/10!! Absolutely the best era! (Zoo TV/Zooropa - 9.5/10, 360° - 9/10, Vertigo 5/10, Elevation 6.5/10, JT/Lovetown 7.5/10...)

    Great album... in my top 3!

    I agree with that for the most part. Some of the individual concerts are absolute gold, but the tour on a whole suffered from static sets and Bono's poor voice most of the time.

    That said im still giving it 8.5/10
  7. The Popmart DVD is 2nd on my list of DVD's, after Slane. I loved the era, I really did.
  8. I like the album, I'm not fond of the tour though.
  9. Loved it, but was the first live U2 gig so there may be a hint of bias.

    I do think Sergio has a point though in terms of listening to multiple shows.

    But Leeds, Sarajevo, Santiago = pure U2 gold.
  10. love
