You are right about Jon. He, Colbert, Bill Maher and a few others actually do a better job handling the news through comedy, because they call bullshit when it happens. CNN, MSNBC and Fox take the news of the day, put on a Dem and a Rep and let them scream talking points at each other. And if one side says something ridiculous like Obama wasn't born in the US, they treat it like a real substantial claim. Did you see the job Stewart did last week on Hannity. He got Hannity to admit to using the wrong video.

The Hannity thing was wonderful, and also saddening, because it took a freakin' comedian to say something. And thank god somebody else noticed the big news networks just scream talking points, it's as if there's no substance to anything these "Experts" say

But ofcourse nobody thought of that when we invaded Afghanistan in the first place

Sadly though, you can't win there. It's like trying to conquer Russia.

Actually, that wasn't it. I've been away and was catching up.

  3. Exactly right. The largest group of 'illegal aliens' in Australia are Americans, British and Canadians who overstay their tourist visas. There are 10 000 of them, or thereabouts, but we're all supposed to be really concerned about 60 people from Sri Lanka in a leaky fishing boat. I know I'm dead scared *eyeroll*

The world sure is filled with strange people, isn't it?
  5. I hate them all equally. Going off stereotypes, I must be the biggist racist in the world.

    1. I hate rap.
    2. I think child molesters should be kept in prison.
    3. I'm for the death penalty.
    4. I'm a white guy who wants to go into law enforcement.

Theres more, but I'm not going to bother listing them.

That has nothing to do with racism, last I checked
  7. One of our Premiers is in a shit over allegations he had sex when he was single with a married waitress at Parliament House.

Where's the story I hear you ask?

If thats the story the waitress is to blame. She decided to cheat didnt she Still not nice of the premier if he knew she was married.

These things happen, we are human after all. Its not good, but it happens.

On the Berlusconi scale, it rates a big fat zero. He's actually being pressured into resigning can you believe it?

  10. Ofcourse, can you believe it? A prime minister having sex Where is the world going these days

  11. Apparently it was the Premier's fault because the waitress said she was "seduced by the power".

Oh, and did I mention she made these allegations in a paid interview?

This story is a joke and im sick of hearing about it, especially living in SA its all the local news talks about, Rann wasnt married with 2 kids at the time(wheras she was) so how did he do anything wrong even if he did have sex with her. That lady is the dirty, cheating skank, and she got paid to tell the world exactly that. Mike Rann has been a great premier i think, and ill be voting for him in March.
