  1. Yes indeed - 4 great shows. One of the first bootlegs that I bought way back in the early 1990's was a longbox size digipak of the December 27th gig. Must have cost me $40-ish dollars back then (pre-internet and all) but it was worth every penny.

  3. 30th is still one of my favorite bootlegs ever. And it's probably the only one I listen pretty often, even when I'm in a U2-burnout or U2-depressed era or theme (as nowadays). 1989-12-30 is simply awesome. The other 3 are great too, specially the 26th, but the 30th has something special with me. Ah, and it contains the best WOWY, BTBS, RTSS and ever, and one of the few She's A Mystery To Me live, and, and and...

    SImply perfect.

    The 30th was the best ever U2show I have been to , I wish i could put into words the feeling and atmosphere of that night, it was a magical night and it was written in the U2liveconcert book that it was reported to be the best ever show in Dublin.
  7. I have the New Year's gig on a regular play on CD in my car right now. What a series of shows and what an era!

    How awesome would it be to replay these gigs on U2 Rockband or some other format.
  8. Soo...why are we not able to have this bootleg up on the show page to download? Is something about it copyrighted? I used to have this boot a lonnnng time ago, downloaded under the name "New Years Night in Dublin", and since a few computer changes it got lost...really looking forward to hearing it again this year but I was surprised to see it can't be posted.

    What's the reasoning for that?

    Easy enough to find elsewhere. Is it still available on iTunes - which I'm taking a wild guess is why there are no links.

  11. The New Years show isn't on iTunes anymore, so it could probably be re-uploaded...and actually, I'm having a tough time finding it without using torrents (taking a break from those for awhile, as a trojan sneaked past me recently, which was my fault, but I still need to lay off)

    Anyway, all things aside- I've begun listening through the available Point shows from the end of '89, and "One Tree Hill" from 26th December is absolutely stunning.
