1. To be honest I don't really understand most of the Killers lyrics, they probably don't make sense at all. For example: "Candy talks to strangers, thinks her life's in danger, no-one gives a damn about her hair". Just seems like 3 random lines, but that song, This is Your Life is one of my favourites from Day & Age.

I read in an interview that "are we Human or are we Dancer" mean are we Human and do what we like, or are we a different species, Dancer, where everyone just does as there told and copies off everyone else, when everyone is the same. I think that was it. Someone tell me if I'm wrong...

That video of Muse//Killers is really cool, I was thinking I hope it has the "devils water" bit in and it did, wicked!
  2. Yea, Brandon never gets lyrics get in the way of a good melody.

Apparently they're breaking up though, they just cancelled their Australian tour (much to my brothers disappointment). They said it was due to a sickness in the family, but many of the fans don't buy that.

Don't wurry mate, from what i read I don't think they split up completely, jusy having a break because Brandon said their new album would be more heavier stuff. I couldn't bare for them to only released 3 propper albums, i can't get enough...

Would be a sick excuse. I dont believe that
  5. http://www.mtv.co.uk/artists/the-killers/news/177345-the-killers-deny-split-rumours

"Indie band The Killers have denied reports that they’ve split up."

“The Killers would also like to take this opportunity to assure their fans that any concerns about the future of the band are unfounded. They are all looking forward to some time off at the end of this tour as they have been on the road for a long time, but there are no plans for an indefinite hiatus.”

    it's all good!

  6. I'd say they were pretty close to it when "Hot Fuss" came out. With the recent gain in popularity, however, I wouldn't say they were anything close. I'd hardly even call Death Cab for Cutie an "indie" band anymore, with their single-before-last "I Will Possess Your Heart" ALL OVER radio, and their latest single "Meet Me On the Equinox" also on the radio and in a Twilight movie..."indie" means "independent", not "our singer has a slightly whiny voice and sometimes our songs have unconventional vocal melodies"
  7. They were, at least.

Nowadays, you can discuss if they're pop or rock or indie rock or alternative pop-punk or whatever bullshit people can invent, but they still are not the poopular rock band that Coldplay or U2 is. The Killers don't appeal to everyone, they have a (more or less) defined range of people who are likely to become fans (mostly young people, from 16 to 28 maybe, who like rock, who like punk, who like pop, and all together)... but TK don't appeal to a 34-y-mother, don't appeal to a 45-y-unemployed man, don't appeal to a 9-y-girl... U2, Queen, REM, Coldplay, The Beatles, that bands do appeal to that general public, and that's why they're not considered "Indie" (=independient).

    If that makes any sense

  8. I retract this statement.

WDIKC? is now officially close second to This Is Your Life in terms of epic inspirational emotional awesomeness.

  9. WYWY, guys. I'm sorry. W Y W Y.
  10. ^ WYWY is good and all, but I don't see why people think it's that good. it's a strong single, and there are some great lines in it, but they have better songs. if I were to see them live and they left it out of the setlist, I wouldn't leave all that disappointed.

    in my opinion, anyhow.

Of course, we're all talking about opinions, no need to be ashamed or apologizing

I think it's one of the most epical songs I ever heard. Not only that the musical ambient makes for it, with the great echoed guitar and the bass+drums incredible base, but the lyrics are fucking epical. They talk directly to the hearts to people like me (and maybe you), the hearts of people who has lived a great youth... People who sometimes close their eyes and see the place where they used to live, you know what I mean? People who has lived great and bad moments, but all that memories form part of their own; people who has loved and been loved, and they like to sing for and to that memories. People who knows that what they've lived has been great, but they can still enjoy their lives. And, not least, they can still remember when they were young.

Maybe it sounds like bullshit to you, or maybe a little too much inspired and deep, but that's what WYWY and only a few other songs (Where The Streets Have No Name, Stairway To Heaven, and only some others) inspire me..... Forgive me
